was in maine visting my mom got into diabetic DKA . Got admitted for DKA. Best hosptial i have been to the ambulance crew to Juniper in the ER then in ICU Devyn , The four people that took care of me Dr Dan , Mark and Holly. On September 26, 2025, I was treated on an emergency basis at the York Hospital in connection with a dislocated hip. All my care team members, beginning with the ambulance attendants (who deserve a special shut out), as well as the staffs of the Emergency Room and Operating Room, and Dr. Noerdlinger, were professional, compassionate and communicative. I was deeply grateful to be able to walk out of the Hospital at the end of the day!
Transferred in from Wells and the staff was amazing. Spent 4 nights in the ICU and every shift nurse could not have been any nicer. The Dr’s and surgeons were amazing. Excellent food as well! Thanks so much for everything!
This is the worst hospital I have ever been to. Everyone of the staff members were rude. Waited for 3 hours to just get into a room and another hour for anyone to see us. When I asked how much longer of a wait it would be, the nurse very rudely said “nobody is keeping you here, you’re free to leave at anytime” just an overall horrible experience!
Worst hospital experience ever. If it were only one time, I would not be leaving this review. York Hospital has gone so far down hill. No communication, it is always jumping through hoops to get simple answers. Very disorganized and dirty emergency room. Seems like the staff hangs out more than they do work. From the emergency care, to the OBGYN, and the Walk-in Care in York. I am considering transferring everything over the Portsmouth to never deal with any department in this hospital ever again because it is way more work than it needs to be for the patient.
