Let me tell yall about the birth of my child. 9n June 26th my wife who was 37 weeks pregnant complained to her doctor about discharge and not feeling right. The doctor took a test and everything was fine. Until 12 hours later she had a placental abruption. My child and wife almost died. To make matters worse there is no NICU for the community, they got rid of it. My daughter was flown to grand junction. We couldn't see her till 4 days after her birth. This hospital doesn't care about you. They do not have the facilities. I had a surgery from this hospital after my daughters birth and im still felling pain 2 years later. This is the type of hospital they make documentaries about. Stay away, go to durango, its better than a 5 hour drive to grand junction to see your loved ones. The people that run the hospital, nit the docs or nurses are evil. They dont care who lives or dies.

We have lived in the Cortez/Dolores area for 20 years. This hospital has had it's ups and downs, mostly insurance billing issues. Those issues have mostly been resolved. Over these years we have our PCP there, used the ER , PT dept. and many other ailments. However, the staff and I mean everyone who works there is dedicated to doing a respectful and professional job. My recent hip replacement by Dr. Brandon Jones is no exception. My PCP Dr. Kameo Smith referred me to Dr Jones and that was an excellent call. All the of Doctors, Nurses, and Clinical/Support Staff are exceptional. Every Department I have dealt with was well run, concerned about my health and professionally pleasant. To pick out out one individual over the others is both difficult and unfair. Good job, guys keep up the good work.

I was just at this establishment, and it is the worst place to ever be. You freeze at night. They give you a blanket that is knitted with holes in it.And a pillow that is hard as a rock. I had a really good doctor but beside that everything else sucked, you don't get any one on one.Therapy with any doctor. We had fried fish one night, and everybody ended up having diarrhea and was really sick. They don't know what they're doing. This place is too new, and they don't have staff. That is competent to know what they're doing with people that are mentally ill. I would suggest going somewhere else if you're looking for help with mental illness. Plus they lost all my medication and more of my stuff. And they can't find it, and they don't call you back. They ignore your calls afterwards.

We were 1500 miles from home when my husband required ER and hospital admission. Dr Visqez and Dr.Mojzis provided exceptional care with compassion for our situation. ICU nurses took good care of us both. So thankful for them all.

Although they were late taking us back Celina was great and Ian at the front desk was awesome too. I was a little flustered at running late as I pride myself on being punctual even early to make sure people are not waiting for me. We were here for awhile and the lights to the check in to radiology didn’t turn on (we were first appointment) until a good 15 minutes passed our check in time. But once we got back there it was smooth sailing. Thank you to Ian for being helpful and assisting in letting the people in radiology know we had been waiting. Even with someone showing up late for work I would still highly recommend this hospital everyone is so nice and a pleasure to deal with.
