EMMC Sleep Diagnostics

I had a great first visit. I wish I could remember the woman that helped me. She was very professional and easy to talk to. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

My 8 year old son had a sleep study done and Rhonda was our technician. She was excellent, my son had many questions and she answered everything to put him at ease. She was very professional and sweet. He even fell asleep while she placed all of the electrodes.

The tech I had to get set up with my at-home sleep study was very kind and pleasant. Last night's experience was great. However, I just called to let the center know that I'd have to return my equipment a bit later than expected due to my schedule. I was told both last night and on each of the informational papers I received that if I was unable to bring in the equipment between those hours to just call and make other arrangements. I have worked in the customer service industry for 12 years. I try to always be a kind, understanding person. So, you can imagine that I was shocked and appalled at how incredibly rude the receptionist, Michelle, was when I called to, as the instructions plainly said, make other arrangements. This was for around 5-6pm tonight, as that was when I could get over there. She told me I essentially could not do this and that I "would have been told this at the appointment yesterday" with such attitude and in such a belittling tone that I was actually speechless. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, or maybe some of the employees are being told different things than what the patients are. I know how challenging working in jobs where you're constantly subjected to irate customers, patients, clients, etc. But it doesn't mean we need to take it out on others, and we should understand that life happens and not everyone works a job that they can take a break at to run across town. Not everyone has accessible transportation to do so, either, and sometimes emergencies come up. Just some food for thought.

My 4 year old had a sleep study an her nurse was Rhonda an went above an beyond her job! She made sure we were comfortable for our stay an was so patient with my daughter! If nurses were as patient an accommodating as she hospitals would be more pleasant for patients!

First time for a 70 yr old sceptic to try this. Very professional all the way. Not overstaffed with people running around making a racket. Was met at the door with instructions to follow as he showed me to my very clean, quiet room. Like a neat little motel room with a shower room just down the hall. Filled out a questionnaire upon entry and departure about my experience. Everything was explained in detail and all questions that I had were answered quickly. Upon waking in am was shown shower room off we went, feeling well rested. Much more so than in the past few months. Results are due in 2-3 weeks along with cpap machine and hopefully many more well rested nights.
