Dr Bayasi is great and deserves a 5-star rating, but someone needs to see what's happening with his staff. I saw Dr. Bayasi on Sept. 19th. I took an at-home sleep test and I tested positive for severe sleep apnea. Dr. Bayasi immediately took action and said I need a CPAP machine. That's when everything fell apart. It's November 26th and the front / back office staff still keeps giving me excuses about why no one has done any 'paperwork' to actually get a machine ordered. One person has been out for several weeks and apparently no one knows how to do her job. Honestly, this is insane. OH--- one thing staff is great at -- sending me bills that supposedly my insurance has already paid! I highly recommend Dr. Bayasi but wow-- please someone get their stuff together quickly. I suppose I need to start looking for another doctor who is lucky enough to have STAFF that know what they're doing. Know anyone?
I had an appt w/Dr. Virginia Rowland for the first time today after several years with another pulmonologist. She took time with me to answer all of my questions and explained everything I didn’t understand in layman’s terms. I sought her out because I needed second opinions on my lung conditions. She set my mind at ease on so many levels. She and the Staff at Gilbert Respiratory were so caring and kind, from Chad who took my vitals, to Brook who did my blood work! Dr. Rowland and her medical team exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier! I’m so grateful.
Dr Bayasi is great, but the scheduling is terrible. I had scheduled an appointment over a month ago, I call to get my imaging scheduled and they tell me I don’t have an appointment. Now I have to wait another month for a new appointment.
They have no respect for your time. Then the doctor comes in and expects you to tell them exactly what the issue is, although he has all of the medical history and supposed expertise. And the fact that they have these filthy vents in a respiratory practice is mind boggling.
I just had my 1st appointment with this practice, but I must say I was impressed by the staff, and their thoroughness, as well as for Dr.Bayasi taking time to answer questions and offer opinions beyond just "Here's your problem, and here's a prescription." I always try to be polite, personable and interested, and that quite often softens a gruff initial impression (not that I saw that here). I did wait a bit in the examining office after the assistant took my vitals, but I valued the extra care and attention more than 20 or 30 minutes of my time it may have cost me. The office was not very busy, so maybe the other people (who were unhappy) got worse treatment than I did today.
