They don't call back(over six attempts), they schedule appointments incorrectly resulting in return visits, the staff seams disengaged, they schedule appointments with the wrong PA's, and more. Not surprised as I witnessed several staff members texting and in one case watching a video on his phone while laughing. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, FIND AN ALTERNATE PULMONOLOGIST. THIS TEAM IS TERRIBLE!!
This USED to be a good an office but not anymore! You CAN NOT EVER speak to a human. You have to leave a message and then you never get a call back! My pharmacy has been trying to get a refill for mine and my husband’s rescue inhaler with 0 response! We are now out of our inhalers! Not good during dust storm season! Tried to call the office and you can’t talk to a human you have to leave a message! Not to mention the fact that they never sent out a letter letting us know that our doctor was retiring! We didn’t find out until we went in for our annual appointments! I would suggest finding a different pulmonology practice! Needless, to say we are finding a new practice and I suggest you do the same.
I can’t tell you how MANY times I have had to call to get an order for something they were supposed to schedule….I just decided to go to the office and get it and waited 30 minutes in their office for it. They acted like I put them out for coming in and asking for it without an appointment. It’s now been a month that I’ve been trying to get them to call me back with results🤦♀️ I think the Drs are great, but man the medical assistants and office staff are something else. I’d say their office manager isn’t doing their job of running an efficient office…… I guess when the providers are losing patients and not getting new ones then someone will step up……….. In the meantime……. Just wait🤔🤷🏼♀️
Add me to the other patients who haven’t received callbacks and staff that lied to cover their incompetence. After being lied to by the person who is responsible for DME orders and prescriptions, I spoke to the office manager, Trisha, who was initially helpful and facilitated handing me over to Valley Respiratory and their rep, Pillar. Pillar was helpful and followed through on her commitments. Very impressive! Unfortunately, she ran into a roadblock with my insurance and I needed a new sleep study to get my CPAP supplies. I called Desert Pulmonary and left two messages after waiting more than 48 hours for a callback. On the second message, I asked for Trisha as she offered to help me in the future. My callback again was in excess of 48 hours and it was from someone other than Trisha. When I asked why the office doesn’t keep its commitments, I was told I would have to ask Trisha for that answer. Again, I asked for a callback from Trisha. Although I never received that callback either, I did get an email from Trisha informing me that they would no longer see me due to my expressed frustration. That’s a good thing as I already had decided to sever my relationship with them because they fail to meet the quality of care standards that I expect. Something is badly broken within this practice and it either starts with Trisha or the problems are so severe that she cannot fix these issues. I strongly recommended that if you are a potential patient, take these reviews seriously and seek care where the staff cares about the patient. If you aren’t convinced that this practice lacks professionalism yet, note that there are no positive reviews and no response to the reviews from the practice. That tells you everything you need to know about making contact with a professional clinic.
No complaint with the Dr. My complaint with billing. We moved out of state but I had a balance of $195. I sent a check which i meant to be for $105.95 that’s what I put in for the numerical part, but got a bit dyslexic or something and for the written part I wrote one hundred ninety five. What came out of my bank was $195, but Desert Pulmonary says they received $105.95 and are still billing me for $89. This was in January and now it is August and the billing department keeps insisting I owe them $89! It’s $89 for heavens sake! I have proof of what you received regardless of what you say you received on your end. Call it a loss and write it off for crying out loud. Or not, and I will send you a $1.00 a month for the next 89 months
