Jana Haney is kind, focused, and professional. She obviously knows her field of expertise, we discussed my test results and she made recommendations confidently. I had avoided the sleep apnea conversation for a long time. Jana said to me "treatment for sleep apnea can be life changing" and it truly has been! I felt very informed and comfortable with our conversation and her recommendations for treatment. I gave her 5 Stars because 6 Stars was not an option.

I had a disappointing experience with Jana Haney, FNP-C, at Pulmonary Clinics of Scottsdale. During my visits, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, as she continually questioned whether I was being truthful about my sleep issues. Additionally, she dismissed any information from outside sources, refusing to consider relevant data that did not come directly from their office. A good healthcare provider should be open to patient input and external medical insights, but unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Despite this being my third visit, her approach did not change—in fact, I was so frustrated that I had to sit in my car after the appointment to calm down. I would not recommend this provider to anyone looking for a thorough and empathetic approach to their care.

SHE SAVED THEM….. As I walked into this office, there was a overwhelming feeling of just being sterile. I kept thinking of myself. Is anyone gonna speak or smile or say anything…other than first time here ID card insurance card? There are no smiles, and as I watch a nurse demonstrate how to use the gear to an elderly man who clearly had hearing problems. She seemed impatient and rushed, although he continue to make jokes and try to be jovial the whole time. I kept thinking, do I really wanna be a part of this place? When the lady called my name, she clearly could see that I only had one arm and I was struggling with the paperwork, my ID being out, phone, and purse but she offered no assistance. That was fine. Her look though screamed impatience… like get your stuff and let’s go! I hurried down the hall, rushing and feeling nervous as I didn’t know what awaited me. For her, this is a routine Thursday for me, my life could possibly be changing, As I sat in the chair and was told to place my things down, she quickly said she’s getting my vitals and took it not acknowledging size or the fact that I seem nervous. She told me my blood pressure is high. No questions, she didn’t seem to look at any of the factors, She just wrote down her numbers and hastily left the room no smile no warmth no chatter. Just sterile like on autopilot. Then the provider came in. I voiced my concerns to her and she could’ve gotten an attitude. She could’ve denied it. She could have argued with me. She could have gotten perturbed by me having the audacity to tell her all the things above, she didn’t. She took it with Grace. She slowed down. She talked to me like a human she explained, and answered every question that I had and she made me change my mind about never coming back. My hope is whoever read this understands that sometimes it doesn’t take writing a bad review or being mean loud or rude to make a change, it takes honesty, understanding, compassion for the other person and the ability to allow someone to acknowledge, take ownership and then take action to make a change so for me that was enough for me to say I’ll be back soon and make her a part of my team of healing. She is truly a blessing and she is truly knowledgeable. I left their feeling well taken care of and understood and that is the most important thing in healthcare because I can’t take what you tell me to do seriously if I don’t believe that, you’re actually care about me. I would recommend this provider in this clinic to anyone! I would also recommend her team emulate her spirit!

I found Dr. Khalid to be very personable, engaged and attentive to my concerns and needs. His explanations were clear and easy to understand. I felt he was thorough in his gathering info and assessing my situation. I am pleased to have him as my pulmonologist!

Overall my experience has been good. Dr. Khalid has worked with me over the last year to adjust and optimize my treatment. On the more administrative side, I have had to follow up to be sure remote changes were made to my CPAP unit.
