Some of the medical staff are great. Except for the radiology department and cafeteria. Extremely rude people !! The radiology dept will discriminate against you and invade your privacy by exposing you after yanking the sheet off of you really hard and fast, and not make sure you are covered underneath. The cafeteria people are very rude and the food is the worst I've ever tasted. Play dough with mud would be better. If you're sitting all day with someone, don't ever think you can get a cup of water, coffee or tea anywhere. They'll tell you NO, you can't have any. And the regular cafeteria is closed all weekend. They need to remember that the patient is hiring them to do a job. It's not like their services are free.

We drove 10 hours to be with our family and support my nephew while he’s going through a really rough time. He went to the ER for mental health issues a couple days ago. The website says that 2 (TWO) visitors are allowed at a time in the ER, but a nurse told my sister (his mom) and I that we had to leave because he was only allowed to have 1. I’m not sure why the rules don’t apply to him. He tried to ask the nurse but she walked off and didn’t say anything. Apparently this just became an issue today, as he was allowed to have 2 yesterday? Pretty rude, especially when you’re in a dark place and need family and love and support. They even tried to tell his girlfriend that their newborn daughter counted as a visitor. 🙃 He is not allowed to leave and now not allowed to have family with him, all of that on top of them having nowhere to send him to get real help.

I mean, for those of us who have grown up around here know this hospital is sorta like a storage room. No one knows why it’s here and mostly local yokels work here. Sorta like an afterthought. Why this hospital is still here I’ll never know. They don’t really care about you. Nurses on their phones when patients need help. I would go 30 min north to other hospitals. I’ve been here countless times and it’s always minor. Some are good (very rare) some are bad and unfriendly. Question for doctors and nurses. WHY DID YOU GET INTO THIS PROFESSION IF YOU DON’T LIKE PEOPLE?? We are literally your job. People don’t feel good, the last thing they want to hear is judgement. A lot of them act prissy and don’t want to actually do any work. You can tell.

I wanted to leave review for my experience in the ER for treatment that I received on 8/4/2025. I was sent to the ER by the New Philadelphia VA for a severe sore throat and difficulty swallowing. I was treated one day prior at the Urgent Care in Dover and provided antibiotics. After three doses of antibiotics I did not have any improvements and actually got worse. I arrived at the ER early in the afternoon. After a significant wait due to the fact that the ER was extremely busy, which I understood from my work experience in the medical field. I was taken back to a room and evaluated by Dr. James Belleza, MD. at around 11:15pm at which time he ordered IV antibiotics, IV hydration fluids, IV steroids, and IV pain medication. In addition he ordered a CT of my neck to check for an abscess. All of the staff from the RN, CT technician, and Doctor were very professional and thoroughly explained everything to me throughout the treatment. Dr. Belleza was supposed to be done work at 1:00am, however, he stayed there until the CT was completed and interpreted. He personally came into my room and told me the results and explained my options for treatment. I feel that Dr. Belleza went above and beyond in providing care and I am very grateful that I had him as my provider. The next day Dr. Belleza personally called me at my home to see how I was doing. He is definitely the kind of physician that our community needs. Too many people only write reviews about the negative. I feel that the entire medical staff that day did an excellent job and should be commended. I want to personally say thank you to each and everyone of you for the excellent services that you all provided to me.

If I could rate it 0 Stars I most certainly would. First, they do not take you seriously at all..I was in the emergency room yesterday morning with complications! Was sent home and told to come back if any complications arise worse. I was rushed their at about 5 pm last night and begged them to help me. I was in so much pain, felt like I was going to pass out, couldn't sit down, was puking horribly, and asked to use a bathroom with a string because I felt like I was going to pass out. Was told no to use one in the waiting room. I was in the bathroom getting sick, and felt extremely dizzy. I felt like I was going to pass out. They were asked to send a nurse in. My husband ended up busting into the woman's bathroom, crawled under a stall and woke me back up. No nurse still didn't show up. He got me to my feet and out the door while having tunnel vision and double vision. He drove me to another hospital!! Who took amazing care of me and found the complications without issue with simple scanning and was treated! And released this morning. My issue could have become a life threatening situation if I didn't go to another hospital!!! They didn't listen to me, they didn't send help, and it was absolutely sickening.
