I’ve been at gunnison hospital several times in past years without any complaints however recently I had two shoulder replacement reversed most of the staff was great however with these two visits I experienced not such a good response or such from a handful of staff they weren’t understanding those few were critical impatient and even lied and etc when I tried to reach out and talk to someone bout it. I really wasn’t ready to go home but asked my doctor if I could plz go home. I have a great dr Dr blackham and my surgeon and his team were so great pt physical therapist dep were all super good was great but those few under a handful made my stay at hospital unbearable both times They need to be educated on patients that have my kind of surgery that we have a few limits out of our control and that it takes longer then a couple of days or minutes to beable to do after that kind of surgery if someone said they can’t do something and they’ve tried they should believe em not get mad at em or and belittle em.i found myself to be very disappointed discouraged by how I was treated by a small handful it was disrespectful towards me. Thank god the rest were not like that it’s too bad I wasn’t believed and that there was a lie bout me that made no sense . But it taught me something I may have to make different choices on where I go next time. But I want my drs know I appreciate them all of em and pt physical therapy staff they’re beautiful people
I had a 3D ultrasound done and I was super disappointed.. I never got told over the phone that they can’t do a 3D if I didn’t have an anatomy scan done there. When we got back to the ultrasound room the ultrasound tech wasn’t very nice about it. I was 27 weeks and the babies face looked like a skeleton because she was zooming in to far. Just super disappointed I paid kinda a lot of money for this to not have a good 3D picture done. I was told by the lady 27 weeks would be a good time. Definitely not, they did call and apologize I appreciate it but I wish I could have a re-take. I wasn’t told the right things. Overall it’s a great hospital
This is the absolute worst hospital in the state of Utah. They should be lucky they aren’t getting sued for malpractice. The Xray tech either hates his job or hates woman, either way, jerking someone’s head while they’re screaming in pain, is not okay.
I had a baby here recently and every specialist and nurse was amazing. Kyle, the anesthesiologist reassured me when I was afraid. All of my nurses took wonderful care of me.
We have visited this hospital a few times. Some of the staff are friendly, while others are not. I wouldn’t call it the best experience overall. However, tonight was the longest wait we’ve experienced compared to our previous visits. After being there for over 2.5 hours without being seen by a doctor, things became quite hectic. We considered leaving but were unsure about the policy and our insurance coverage. Typically, our visits last about 3 hours, not 5. Unfortunately, our experience tonight didn't provide much help. At this point, we feel the need to find another provider who can address the ongoing illness more effectively, rather than treating it the way we have in the past.
