I am feeling very supported with my CPAP use. The Sleep Center is very precise in their professional advice and clearly explain my current status with regard to my clinical condition. Excellent service and detailed directions. Very pleasant experience.
As a new patient I was worked in quickly - within a week. I was ushered into a waiting room at my exact appointment time and seen promptly by the doctor. The doctor was thorough, informative and patiently explained the options and how he thought we should proceed.
Went to Arizona sleep center only to be drug around from March to November and got nothing 🅾️ They don't care that your oxygen drops to 73 and you could have a stroke. They suddenly stopped taking my insurance and notified me 3 hours before my appointment to order my CPAP. These people only want your money and could care less, if you are not self pay please think twice about this place , listen to the bad reviews ,the anxiety is not worth it. I went through a home sleep study and titration in office. I have severe sleep apnea and my oxygen drops to 73 at night , this has only been happening to me for a year. My Dr sent them a records release a month ago and they have not sent anything back. They could have given me my prescription but they won't. They also should have notified me that they were going through re certification with ahcccs so I could have gotten my records and my CPAP but they didn't , they just gave me a 3 hour notice. I feel abandoned and left untreated for a severe condition that is effecting my daily life. I fall asleep Everytime I sit down, I can't drive a car. I have major issues remembering words and it's getting worse and I can't do anything but sit and wait. The office is not nice at all , they are very short and don't explain anything. My sleep study was rescheduled because they didn't put in for my insurance approval in time even though I had the appointment for almost two months. They put it in about a week and a half prior and my insurance asks for 2 -3 weeks. They also submitted it twice so they were confused and I had to clear that up also. Something is up with this place , it really feels very mismanaged and like no one cares at all. They don't want help you or even answer the phone and talk to you. They do the bare minimum. If I were to do this process over again I would do through research into each place and drive to Phoenix if I had to. This place has caused me so much stress and taken up so much of my time filling out wrong forms and calling and leaving messages and not getting a return phone call. They only recently started texting people but it's short and seems like they don't really pay attention to what you say. They are not nice or thankful for your business.
I have been a patient at this practice for many years. I have experienced poor to excellent appointments. There has been a change for the better since Dr. Onate's arrival. The staff was pleasant and at her station when I arrived. I was 40 minutes early, we laughed and I came back on my scheduled time. My appointment was a follow-up on my new CPAP machine and it's effectiveness. My sleep was improved; his records showed the same. I was having one problem and he gave me several pointers to solve it and the option to come back earlier if I hadn't been able to solve it. Dr. Onate is relaxed, kind, asks good questions and solves problems well. The office has been communicating 100% better. I am very happy to see these improvements in such a short time. The staff that does the overnight sleep studies is quick, prepared, very knowledgeable and keeps a sharp eye on how you are doing, changes things as needed, tells you what he is changing and why. Makes the sleep study easy, I slept well, knew about what he observed about my breathing and when I would have a follow up. Thanks for the improvements.
I can't say enough how about how much I have learned and appreciated the skilled help of this clinic Physician . I feel so amazing now because I'm actually getting better sleep. Most doctors will just order the machine and then that's that . A patient may never know how to make adjustments to the CPAP or other key devices like masks. I guess regular non-sleep specialist docs just assume that the dealer that provided that equipment to you will do all this sort of adjustments with the ordering doc. But they don't they just give you the machine and you're off running well there's a heck of a lot more to it and I'm certainly glad I made an effort to find out where I should go and to get help. Help is what I got from Arizona sleep center. From knowledgeable assistance on the mechanics of sleep and the machine and the relationship between the two. I did not need an inpatient clinic overnight repeat study. What I needed was skilled help in making adjustments to the machine that could read the printouts and make a determination of what would be best for my body.
