My appointment was at 8:30 pm. I arrived at 8:00. I was told, and have written instructions , when I made the appointment that “Lights out at 11:00, and wake up at 5:00-5:30. Out @ 6:00 am.” (I understood this to mean that the latest I could watch TV was 11:00.) I sat in the lobby until almost 9:00 pm. Finally the receptionist went to the back to see what was going on, she came back and took me to my room where I waited until past 10:00. The tech finally came in after 10:00 and got me hooked up. I got in bed, but no lights out for me until 11:30. During the night was woken several times by noise and employees talking in the staff break room. Woke up myself just before 5:00 am, waited for the tech, who didn’t show up until 7:30! Got unhooked, went to take a shower, no lights in the shower itself, just a light over the sink. So showered in the dark, no place to put a towel, slick floor… All in all, not a positive experience. Edit: To date, no one from Valley Sleep Center has contacted me to discuss these issues, to explain the reasons for the problems, or to offer an apology!
The bed was nice the machines were consistent and the staff was absolutely incredible. The wait time was 10 minutes and I was early. They let me relax for 1 hour until I was ready to sleep. The room had a fan my own air conditioning unit and a full television. It's a simple place but they make you feel amazing. I was put to sleep by a great tech. I was checked in on a couple times over the night. I was woken up and ready to leave by 5:00 a.m.. so all process took about 8 hours. Very wonderful 100% the best I could ask for.
My son had a sleep study last night and I want to thank both the receptionist and the sleep study tech! I believe the techs name was Emily, I wish I got the receptionists name, but they were both amazing! The place isn’t the most up to date with furniture, but it was good enough for the sleep study! They made my son feel comfortable and it was such an easy process! Thank you guys for everything!
It's not the fanciest place around but the staff makes up for it 100%. Miss Jen was absolutely amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions. She did everything she could to make sure that my night was comfortable. In the morning, Miss Jen came and got me unhooked and checked out in a very timely manner. She was kind throughout the entire process from start to finish. I could not have asked for a better sleep tech and am grateful that I chose this clinic to do my sleep study.
The lady running my study was very nice, but the equipment kept malfunctioning, which required her to come in repeatedly (maybe 20 times) to try to get it working properly. Finally after a protracted tech support call and obvious frustration on her part, she managed to get it working. I don't know if this impacted the study significantly or not, but it was far from ideal. Secondly, their billing department is a mess: issues with billing, and then attempts to double bill after I paid (not sure why. Poor record keeping?) Currently on the phone with them trying to figure out why they want me to pay the deductible a second time -- not the first time this issue has come up. Mildly frustrating, to say the least. Thirdly, and this is common in healthcare, or at least not unique to them, annoying how they require multiple appointments (pre and post) in order to get results/recommendations. Feels like a cash grab, since they charge for each one. Not a gripe about them specifically so much as the practice in general
