If you're reading this, please - BELIEVE THE REVIEWS. My experience with this entire practice was overwhelmingly negative, from the front desk admin (who seems to hate her job and everyone who walks through the door), to the NP I saw (who was sarcastic and defensive in response to questions about treatment options), to the medical assistant (who couldn't figure out how to read my health insurance card and doesn't return phone calls). The only positive experience was with the person who operates the switchboard, who competently explained how I could transfer my care away from this place.

I will clarify my 1 star rating later in the review. My wife was the patient. Dr Troy Anderson gave 5 star service. Fantastic, kind, thorough, and compassionate physician who explained everything very well. The office also does sleep studies and let me remind you is a neurology clinic with patients who have neurological issues. These patients are in need of a calming atmosphere. As a retired private practice PT, I do have expertise in office management and know how set a professional atmosphere for patients. We were met with music loud enough to be heard throughout the waiting area. The music playing — ACDC , Alice Cooper, hard rock. If the neuro patients didn’t already have frazzled nerves, they would with this blaring. I made my thoughts known to the front office receptionist. Once others in the waiting room heard me voice my disdain for the music in a medical practice, they too voiced their opposition to loud rock music being played in this atmosphere. I also let the nurse know. Unfortunately this did not result in any change. Deplorable.

Very professional and well operated. Tech was polite, knowledgeable, clear in instructions. Atmosphere was comfortable. I did need to get up during the night, he came in quickly, helped me with the wires and got me set up again. Not my best sleep but that’s normal for me. Looking forward to my follow up appointment for test results.

On 10/21/25 - They canceled my appointment for a OTC injection less than 24 hours before. No reschedule, no alternative, and no empathy at all. The lady who called to cancel my appointment called me by the wrong last name. This place is extremely unprofessional and just all around rude. My regular NP spends way more time with me on my migranes than anyone here does. The doctor I see here is professional and helpful, but I have ongoing concerns about the front desk experience. While waiting for my appointment, I witnessed an elderly couple ask if the air conditioning could be turned on because it was warm. The receptionist laughed at the request and told them she had turned the air off because the rooms were too cold. When I was called back, it was noticeably warmer, and the exchange came across as dismissive and unkind toward a patient. Additionally, the receptionist does not greet patients upon arrival, which feels unwelcoming. When I called to schedule an appointment and asked a simple question, she transferred me directly to a medical assistant’s voicemail without explaining that we would not be returning to the call. This lack of communication was confusing and frustrating. I want to emphasize that this is the first neurologist who has been able to help me, and I truly value the care I receive from the doctor. However, the way patients are treated by administrative staff causes unnecessary anxiety and makes the overall experience stressful. I believe clearer communication and a more compassionate approach from the front desk would greatly improve the patient experience.

I’ve been a sleep apnea patient of Dr. Anderson for a few years now. Great guy, impressive credentials. However, Phoenix neurology contracts with Adapt health for CPAP supplies and settings and that alone has forced me to give a negative review. Working with Adapt healthcare via PNSM has been an absolute nightmare. Over charging me for supplies, unable to get my CPAP readings and diagnostics for two years, giving me a faulty CPAP machine, not knowing that the CPAP machine is not WiFi capable for remote setting adjustments, and Adapts inability to call my insurance provider to see if I am authorized for a new CPAP machine. Instead Adapt assumed they knew my insurance providers policy on my CPAP machines and didn’t even try to contact them for authorization. I had to do that myself. Essentially PNSM has provided no healthcare for me for about 2 years partially because of Adapt health. PNSM couldn’t even see how I was sleeping at night due to a lock of knowledge about the machine, a lack of initiative to help me get the issue resolved and a lack of ability to even get any information about my sleep patterns. I suggest to anyone reading this review that if you decide to go to PNSM and Dr. Anderson that you inquire about their connections to Adapt healthcare before making any final decisions. PNSM has so far, has made themselves absolutely useless in providing the care they advertise.
