Dr. Kyle Grooms. What to say about him. Oh wait there is nothing nice that I can say. He did surgery on my moms forearm a couple MONTHS ago. She has been woken up in pain every night after she was told this surgery would get her out of the pain that she was in! He now has not only prescribed a medication that he KNOWS she is allergic to, he may have also put a metal plate in her arm her body is rejecting because it could be nickle! Then he has the nerve to treat her poorly during every single visit to the point she comes home in tears! If this treatment keeps up not only will we be finding her a doctor who cares enough about his patients to actually look at whats going on, I will also be reporting him! I have been nice, but my mom losing sleep at night because she is in so much pain IS OUTRAGEOUS along with his terrible attitude!
My 84 year old mom has been in North Canyon twice this month. She fell and broke her hip and ended back in the ER with low sodium levels. The staff here from the drs to clean up crew are top notch. We love the attitude and attentiveness everyone has showed. Bless the hiring teams. As a family we appreciate all the concern and working to figure out the underlying causes of her low sodium. Highly Recommended Hospital in Gooding Idaho
My husband was recently admitted for a bowel obstruction. The staff at NCMC were fantastic! Two of his nurses, Lisa and Suzie, were incredible. Dr. Bolton was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to us exactly what was going on and the steps that were going to be taken to fix the issue. Everyone was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were both comfortable. I highly recommend North Canyon Medical Center!
I love North Canyon Medical Center! They are so loving and caring and they have always taken the best care of my family through quite a few different surgeries and procedures! They are the best at what they do! Thank you so much for everything that you do for everyone who needs you the most!
If it let you give no stars I would. I’ve had 3 surgeries at north canyon. This last one was absolutely traumatizing and I wish I would have gone to St.Luke’s. I had a hysterectomy due to endometriosis. Nicolas Packer was my surgeon and completely failed his oath as a surgeon. When I woke up from surgery I was in unbearable pain and my horrid nurse (Mary on medical floor) did nothing to help. I was told I couldn’t have anything for pain because he didn’t write anything for post op pain. I was begging the nurse for help because I could not bear it. I was a CNA for 5 years and I am currently a pharmacy technician so I have a medical background and therefore have more of a understanding of how nurses and doctors see patients and how medications work and what they are. They could tell that I did as well because they asked my husband if I had a medical background. She came in with ketorolac and I asked why I couldn’t have anything stronger through my IV because I already knew that wasn’t going to touch the pain in was in. Nurse Mary said he didn’t write for anything else for post op pain. I was then told that the dr was coming out of another surgery and on his was to see me. I was given an oxycodone and again I asked why I couldn’t have something stronger through my IV for immediate relief rather than wait another hour for the pill to kick in. I was ignored. I told them I was nauseous and again I was ignored. When the DR came in he said that I shouldn’t be in this much pain and that I needed to give the pill time to kick in. I repeatedly told him how much pain I was and how unbearable it was. They took out the catheter that they had placed after my surgery, which I was confused about because I just had a hysterectomy and was told no vaginal insertion for eight weeks and here I wake up with a tube in my bladder..makes sense right? This did little to reduce the pain. He asked if I wanted something else to calm me down and I said yes I would try anything and he gave the nurse an oral order for Xanax, which she then started to argue with him and ask for a written order. Which she forgot to give me. After an hour and a half the Xanax and oxycodone finally kicked in and my pain went from a 10 to an 8. My surgery was at 8am I didn’t leave the hospital till around 7:30 that night. This surgery was a horrific and traumatizing experience. And it did not have to be. Dr. Packer and nurse Mary continued to ignore my pleas for help and dismissed how much pain I was truly in.
