ON BEHALF OF JEAN PRESTON WHO IS TOI FRUSTRATED TO WAIT FOR YOU. HE'S THE ONE HAVING SEIZURES. HOW CAN YOU ALWAYS BE EXPERIENCING HIGHER THAN NORMAL CALL VOLUME? MAYBE HAVING A NUMBER FOR EACH LOCATION INSTEAD OF 1 SYSTEM WIDE. I'M ON HOLD FOR 30 MINUTES NOW. I NEED A 5 DAY EEG AND THE HOSPITAL SAYS THEY NEVER RECEIVED THE ORDER
This is by far the worst medical system I’ve ever encountered. I scheduled an appointment online, but they failed to send me a confirmation email. When I arrived at their office, they claimed they couldn’t find my appointment. Fine—I asked to schedule another one, but the secretary informed me that the doctor doesn’t even handle my condition specific, so I left without making an appointment. Later, I received a message stating I had an appointment after all—apparently, their assistant had mistakenly scheduled one. I tried calling them to cancel, but no one answered for a long time. If I hadn’t followed up, I would have ended up being charged for an appointment I never set. When I finally got through to cancel, I requested a confirmation email to document the cancellation. They refused and then put me on hold, wasting another 30 minutes of my time. To summarize: they mistakenly set an appointment, refused to take responsibility or apologize, and wouldn’t even provide confirmation of the cancellation. This place is completely unprofessional and feels like a scam. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.
Dr Wang is fantastic. The office staff is very disorganized. Lack of follow thru. I have to leave SEVERAL messages and/or emails to get an answer about anything. They need an overhaul with a proper office manager/medical assistant.
You just won't find better than The Neurology Center. I actually go to the Carlsbad office, but occasionally need to use their other facilities and all are wonderful. The one exception is the Sleep Center at the Carlsbad office. Getting tested there is fine, but they need a doctor who communicates a whole lot better. Dr. Madhav is not a good listener at all.
There are a lot of doctors here so can be pretty overwhelming. I would recommend Dr. Rupa Prasad, she’s one of the best doctors I’ve ever met. I had a really severe back injury. A lot of people looked at my MRI and said I was hopeless. I was referred to her by another doctor. She reviewed my MRI before I even made an appointment and told me she wanted to see me. She truly cares about people and wants to help everyone, not just easy cases. I got one epidural and stayed at physical therapy with an (arp machine) for another year. I’m pain free and almost back to everything I was doing pre injury. Highly recommend making an appointment with her!!
