Zero bed side manner!!! Very rude, impatient and not available for his patients, he is not a doctor, but a business man dealing with humans life. Stay away from him if you love yourself.

One of the very best Doctors in all of Southern California. Dr. Shahinian has gone above and beyond for me countless times. I have a chronic condition that requires a lot of hospital stays and Dr. Shahinian always takes the very best care of me. He is listens attentively, acts proactively, and discusses care options with me so that I actively have a say in my care. His office staff, associates, and his PA are exemplary; I am always extremely well taken care of at SPA Office. I give Dr. Shahinian and SPA Office my very highest recommendation.

⭐️😱 Do not waste your time, money or health here In 2020 went to Dr. Shahinian after COVID episode for breathing issues (coughs, gasping for air, etc.) Dr. never spent the time both times that I was asked to come in. It was always PAs (“doctor is at hospital and unable to be here”). Then for an awful service, they build me ~$1000 of which I had to pay about 20%. Paid them online. In March 2022 (1.5 years later 😳) I get a letter from them and later from collections agency that I still owe 💵!!! Despite telling them I paid it online, they have no record of it and thus was forced to pay it again unless I want my credit adversely impacted. Today, I still have my pulmonary challenges! Dr.’s PAs did not help me in 2 short sessions. Literally zero benefit, $200 out of pocket and an attitude on top. While coerced to pay again else get negative credit score! No thank you… there are many other options available for me to waste my money on. And many great doctor services to go to. To be clear: I cannot speak to the care of the Dr. himself as I never met him nor talked with him. It’s the staff and processes and the poor patient outcome that gets 1 star. PA’s were nice. Front desk and processing awful! And net, do not appreciate paying twice for zero gain.

I will need to take your word for whether Dr is good or bad. You see I struggled to be on time and was 5 minutes late because I didn’t know where to park and parked quite a long ways away. After getting there I was told to fill out the normal paperwork and give them my picture ID and insurance card. I didn’t have my ins card but thought I might have in my truck. After the long walk back and forth I produced my ins card. They then asked for my Medicare card. Seems to me it would have been appropriate to mention what was going to be needed at the time I made the appointment. I mentioned this to the desk clerk and got a sassy reply that I should have known what might be required when seeing a new Dr. they might have a point but as we know, it’s rarely what is said it’s the delivery. The guy and girl at the front desk acted as though they were doing me a huge favor. If the Dr has an attitude any like theirs, I want nothing to do with them.

I have probably engaged with 30 to 40 doctors over the last 15 years in regards to my mothers health. I've been her advocate for the entire time. Dr. Shahinian is more than just a doctor. He is a man that truly cares. His level of compassion, care, and concern for the well-being of the patient is phenomenal. Has he been my mother's doctor, but he's also been my doctor as well. My experience is, that he brings a level of medical care and compassion to the table that is bigger than the norm. Should you have the privilege of being taken care of by this man, realize that you are in amazing hands. Michael and Masako R.
