Olive View-UCLA Sleep Medicine Center

4 hours in the er and still waiting. Needing a simple prescription refill (i know silly but its the only way to do it while waiting on insurance referrals) came here because this is the place my facility uses. Never letting them bring me here again. Will drive myself to the other hospital that only takes an hour tops for what i need.

I visited the emergency room back in December of 2024 and I can say that the 3 days I was under their care were wonderful. The entire team, the doctors and nurses, everyone who came to talk to me was very kind and attentive. The hand surgeon is very knowledgeable and kind, and he did a great job with the procedure. I recommend this hospital for sure!

Worst hospital ever. Service was terrible. Front desk was rude. Waiting room was filthy as well as the restroom. Waited 6 hours never saw a doctor. I had swelling on my head and face. I asked for Aspirin and something for nausea and I was told to take a seat. I asked if I could lay down and rest my head and I was feeling sick. I was told what did I tell you take a seat. So I left and went somewhere else. 6 hours and never saw a doctor worse hospital ever stay away if you know what's good for you. Labor and delivery nurse was rude. I called to check on a family member on 29 August around 1815 asked to speak to the patient the nurse said they don’t have a phone in the room, I said okay, she asked if I texted her? Not sure why she asked me that but, I answered yeah. She said I can leave a message I told her the message then she said you can just text her that. As if my messages was worthless. Why did she say I can leave a message (heard my personal message) then said you can text that? I’ve had a bad experience in this hospital in 2019 when a doctor and his staff was negligent with my mother and she died due to it. I called to check on her there’s no phone okay but, don’t be rude. As a service member when you have two seconds to call a family member this is important. Looking at these reviews the staff needs training more than ever.

A lot of people post bad reviews in general but especially for anything Medical related. First of all, the system isn't perfect... without question, I believe we all can agree on that. As someone who has to frequent many different medical facilities, I don't think Olive View is a horrible place to go for treatment. I can say that it isn't the "Penthouse Suite" of hospitals but I have had good service and was greeted with a smile more times than not. If you go anywhere with unreal expectations, you are going to be let down. If you go somewhere and are rude and looking for some kind of argument, you'll most likely find one. Do I wish the system was perfect... Yes! Do I think if we all try, we can contribute to the overall experience... without question!!!!! I wish everyone the best. Have a blessed day.
