Parking here is a nightmare. Do not waste your time getting a sleep study test here, go anywhere else. They take 6 months to ship a sleep test to your home.

I received an at home sleep study prescription from my primary care physician. When I called this morning to pick up my at home sleep study device, I was told that the next appointment was August 13–two months from now. When I inquired as to why I would need an appointment in the first place, and why would it take two months to fulfill an order for an at home sleep study device, I was told that they do not have these devices on hand, but must rent them from another company. That a sleep disorders center does not have these relatively inexpensive at home sleep study devices on hand tells you everything you need to know about this facility. One can easily go online and get a sleep study device from another medical provider the next day (which is what I have now done). That the UCLA Sleep Disorders Center does not have an abundance of these machines when sleep studies are pretty much all they do is unacceptable and well below the standard of care.

SCAM?? Did a sleep study and found out I have sleep apnea. Dr. Kang said I would be contacted about a C-pap machine. No one ever contacted me. When I call they say they'll have someone contact me, and then no one does. This has been going on for 15 months, since Dec 2022. I am truly concerned they are not a legitimate business. Either way, I am currently looking into legal action, as at this point they have certainly harmed my health, which is against the Hippocratic oath Dr. Kang supposedly took. Update: I was just contacted by one of Dr. Kang's assistants, but they were talking too fast and when I asked them to slow down and explain things, they started yelling to talk over me, and then hung up on me. So, now I am on an eternal hold with them. This is AFTER 15 months of neglect. Not good, Dr. Kang. Fire your team, they are rude, awful people who are interested in neglect, and NOT your patient's health the way you are. They are ruining your reputation, with neglect, rudeness and hanging up on patients, simple as that. Get a GRIP. Update: While on-hold, instead playing normal hold music, it seems to 'glitch out' and play the same 3 seconds of music over and over again. Why? Because they're trying to get people to hang up so they can deny care. My lawyer finger is getting TWITCHY!

I had a sleep test done here in June 2023. The actual experience in the lab was great, no complaints. The instructions they provide about where to show up are clear, and the parking situation seemed secure (cost $10-11) and you can enter the lab lobby directly from the parking area. My technician, Ignacio, was professional and did a solid job. The room was more like a hospital ward with a gurney-style bed with course sheets, but it was private, quiet and I have no major complaints. The reason for four stars is that it was difficult to reach their office during business hours, a problem that other reviews have noted. If this happens to you, I recommend that you call back and select the option for the UCLA “patient experience” desk (seems kind of like a quality control office). They told me that there had been problems with people not being able to reach the sleep lab, and shortly after I spoke to the “patient experience” desk, someone from the sleep lab reached out to me.

Parking was easy as there were several options. The only difficulty was in entering the facility through the parking lot. There were virtually no signs and there was no clear way to enter the building except to go through the underground parking lot where there was not a walkway. It didn't seem very safe walking through an empty parking lot at 8:30 PM. There wasn't any security or signs. The entire Sleep Study experience was good except that they did not have a shower to wash off the GUI material that they require for the sleep study to be applied all over the head. I did find it a very pleasant experience considering it was a procedure. I do highly recommend it although I wish they would have signs and improve the entrance.
