We had an outstanding experience at the ER today. The team was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond. The staff member at the front counter in the emergency room took time during a short lull between patients to explain how her personal insulin pump works — she showed the pods, walked us through how they function, and even demonstrated the app on her phone. We were looking for information to help a family member after a diabetic situation earlier in the day, and her kindness and willingness to share her knowledge made a huge difference. Thank you to the whole team for the exceptional care and compassion! Highly recommended!
The only hospital my family will go to! My family had a diabetic emergency and required hospital care. The lady working the front desk in the ER was SOOOO helpful. She even took time to show me her insulin pump, the app and how to use them. Also the best place to buy. Everyone was so wonderful. So grateful for the wonderful care.
Disappointed by Critical Condition Neglect I would normally give Pullman Regional Hospital a great review, but based on my last visit, I must give a 2-star rating. I visited the ER for severe chest pain and to request a referral to a dermatologist. The administrative and initial nursing staff were very friendly, and my check-in was fast. They promptly ran vitals, drew blood, and performed an X-ray. I was cleared of having an active heart attack, which was a relief. However, my blood pressure remained critically elevated throughout the visit, consistently averaging around 172/114 mmHg at rest. This reading falls squarely into the dangerous Hypertensive Urgency range. Unfortunately, I was discharged with this same critically elevated blood pressure of 172/114 mmHg. Despite my BP being at a level that poses an immediate risk of organ and brain damage, no attempts were made to investigate the cause or medically reduce the reading before discharge. The staff simply discharged me after granting my referral. The medical staff's decision to send me home in this condition felt negligent and unsafe. I am disappointed that a serious, potentially life-threatening symptom (critically high BP) was overlooked and left unaddressed. As a patient, I felt the immediate risk of a stroke or other cardiac event was ignored. I still have chest pains a couple of days later, which adds to my grave concern about the lack of follow-up on my hypertensive condition.
I was in 2 weeks ago for total knee replacement and from the moment I stepped through the doors I was treated like a king. From reception to nurses to everyone in surgery I was kept up to date on what was going to happen. I'm getting my second knee done there and wouldn't trust any other place close by. The surgery doctor even ask my wide if he himself could get her anything. What a spectacular experience. Thanks to all who were there for me. Night shift was excellent as well. Sure made a difference in recovery. Thank you all.
We moved last year from the Seattle area and while I was worried about not having a specific children’s hospital in town, I have a kiddo with a chronic rare disease. But each time we have come in, they have been phenomenal. They got us right back each time, really took the time to get to the bottom of the issue, and I felt really cared about my kids. Even when my special medical needs child was having a disease related issue, the ER Dr got on the phone with my son’s surgeon to make sure they were doing all they could in the ER. The care is by far better than the Seattle area. Really appreciate we live in a community like this.
