I would never recommend this hospital if your minor child is having to have surgery. The day of our daughters (she is 14)surgery we were informed by a head nurse high on his power trip that only one parent is allowed back with our child before and after surgery because of COVID guidelines. Even though the day before when they called about her surgery time I was told both parents would be allowed back with her in pre op and recovery! Her surgeon also said that was going to be okay! They made me leave my minor child alone in her pre op room to change places with her dad/ my husband, during that time the anesthesiologist enter her room while she was alone. Once the surgeon made it to the room my husband informed him what was going on and he immediately took care of the problem. We also got a visit from the Lady in charge of the nurses that gave us gift cards to try and make the situation better. Never ever should a minor child be left alone in a pre op room and never should only one parent be allowed back with them. The manager informed me she would be handling the issue and that it never should of happened but that doesn’t fix my experience with this place!

10/10 would not recommend this hospital. I was referred here in June due to my gallbladder needing to be removed ASAP. Initially, I thought they were good. They seemed kind and gave me worst case scenarios. However, the actual experience was awful. They did not set expectations of what to bring for post surgery. (Bring pillow to splint your stomach as an example or prescribing meds that I wasn't supposed to take.) My gallstones went off on adventure (the worst case scenario) which resulted in my main bile duct being 100% blocked. (Things happen, so I wasn't upset but way out of it because the 30 min surgery ended up being hours.) Instead of referring me out to be admitted overnight, I was sent home with the expectation to my husband that they'd have me in for a secondary procedure within a day or two. Instead, two days later I was brought in for a consultation for an endoscope to which the Dr said "we were taking a chance but waiting until the following Monday." (6 days after the original surgery.) I tried to explain that I was concerned by that as I was in an extreme amount of pain and noticed I was getting pretty yellow and odd colored urine. Instead of testing my numbers, he told me that my numbers (pre surgery) were good and that unless my eyes became yellow, I didn't need to be concerned. Within another day and a half, I was at the ER and admitted to the hospital for immediate procedure due to how poor my health was. Do not bring your loved ones here. It was honestly the most terrifying experience of my life, but I sure as heck will be advocating for myself in the future.

This place is great, the people here are better. Just had my other hip done. Totally different situation than the first at another hospital. Pre education classes, people actually called me back, everything went smooth. Can't say enough. Won't be going anywhere else for something major like this everything. Dr. Luke Smith, unbelievably knowledgeable, like a ninja in his craft. Awesome job everyone, thank you.

Dr. Duke and his team are A plus. They provided me with life changing and saving surgery. I cannot say enough good things about his team. They take women’s health very seriously. We traveled 13 hours each way for Dr. Duke to perform surgery. Everyone on his team was wonderful and caring.

I struggle with posting only a 3. The staff from check in and thru out were amazing. Very happy and friendly especially at 5am! I let the anesthesiologist know i get nauseated after surgery and to make sure it was noted. It was. Dr. Duke did amazing he is the reason I traveled 6 hours for surgery. 10/10. After surgery is where my struggles began. I was nauseated so much so my BP kept dropping low. I was stuck in recovery until 5pm. For an hour surgery.l started at 7am. Because anytime I tried to get up I was sick sick. My last dose of pain meds was 10am oral pill. I left at 5pm...no meds in between. I was behind on pain meds . I had a full hysterectomy so was in pain..nauseated and white as the sheets. It just disappointed me that this surgery I had been looking forward to for over 6 months with a specialist in his field . And to have after surgery be so awful it makes me really sad. I have had other surgeries in montana and they took care of the anesthesia much much better to where I didn't feel sick at all. I was very unprepared for this to happen. Qnd to not have a plan after for the nurses to take care of me with something to actually help. Bless them all for trying I just dont think they are prepared for when someone reacts badly after surgery. They did call the next day to check on me but its not like they could do anything for me even if wasnt feeling better.
