Sleep Disorders Center of Santa Maria

The office was very busy the day that I went in, but the staff was very friendly and efficient. Even though they were busy, the PA took a little more time this visit and answered my questions.

The worst doctor’s office I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The staff was rude and incompetent, seemingly looking for every opportunity to avoid helping me. From the moment I arrived, there was a line at check-in. I waited for 10 minutes, and when I finally reached the front, the staff was rude and told me I was “late,” even though I had been waiting in line. They tried to reschedule me on the spot. I pushed back, and they begrudgingly allowed me to see Dr. Price. Dr. Price was friendly until our appointment was rudely interrupted by another staff member. She again attempted to refuse me service because their team couldn’t figure out how to verify my insurance. Frustrated, I handed them my credit card and said I would pay cash as long as I received an itemized receipt. They were visibly confused and took quite a while to figure out how to process the payment. Eventually, I met with the doctor again, who ordered several tests but gave me no instructions or follow-up information. He promised that his office manager would call me on Monday. That call never came. After I left, I realized the emailed receipt was not itemized. I called back, and they said they couldn’t provide an itemized receipt until the payment posted—something I don’t believe, as it seemed like yet another thing they simply didn’t know how to do. Once the payment posted, I called twice, the next day, with no response. Still no itemized receipt, and no call from the office manager. And to top it all off, they sent me a survey asking for feedback (not their smartest move). Despite everything, I’m still willing to work with them. I waited three months for this appointment, and my sleep issues have only gotten worse. They may not care, but I do, because I need help. I’m willing to forgive, but as far as experiences go, this review is well-earned.

Friendly staff, efficient use of time, no long waits. Booking appointment was easy and I didn’t have to wait months for an appointment. Also has a great Audiologist on site. Left with a follow up appointment and Audiology appointment to follow on same day. Pretty great!

Felt rushed by the Dr. He needed to spend more time to explain ALL the results. Medicare needs to hire more ENT'S for Santa Maria because 5& 6 months waiting time for appointments is unacceptable!!

The staff was efficient and kind. Overnight sleep was comfortable I’m not disruptive as I thought would be. The Doctor Wikholm was very thorough and educating me why I needed a CPAP.
