If I could 0 stars I would. I waited over 30 minutes to be taken back AS A NEW PATIENT (already not a good impression) and then once in the room 15 minutes and still no doc so 45 minutes into my appointment time still waiting so I walked out to try and reschedule. Thankfully nothing they had worked with my schedule so I will be getting a referral elsewhere. Front desk staff not professional and over all would never recommend this place to anyone. Worst experience I’ve had in any type of health care office.

I have struggled with sleep for years and was fed up with my previous sleep specialist. On my first visit with Dr. Hamner he spent nearly 2 hours with me! He is direct and does not mince words and I appreciate that. He corrected a few things that other providers had prescribed, and really started to look at the root causes of my problems. I don't remember a time that I actually felt "cared for" by a health care provider. Dr. Hamner made me feel that way.

I didn't feel like the doctor was there to work with me, but ended up talking at me. When we talked about the ADHD medications he was on, he was very dismissive of it as a disorder (something I've spent years on actively improving) and seemed to imply that if I had better sleep I wouldn't need "that stuff". Despite me not taking marijuana, he went on an additional rant to me on how bad it is for people, it felt completely inappropriate in the context of my appointment. We didn't really talk about any other contributors to poor sleep such as stress, which I really expected to get into and I think is very relevant to my case! I felt pretty uncomfortable for the rest of the exam feeling condescended to. I ended up following through with the sleep study, but after I got my results I ended up not doing a follow-up appointment with the doctor because of my experience. The sleep study in itself was helpful and all staff were friendly, though it was also hard to reach the office by phone.

Dr Hamner is the kind of Dr missing in our healthcare system. He is kind and compassionate. You are not a number in his office the nurses and staff all know and remember you. I hope he never retires! The skepp side of his offices is great too! They remember me and do all my billing. When I hace issues with wanting a different mask they jump right up and let me try a bunch on. They are tops!

I was told by the receptionist that I could not make an appointment due to a no show in 2015, I travel a lot for work and must have forgotten about the appointment. I asked if there was anything I could do to make an appointment to which she replied “no, go somewhere else”
