EDIT: After my first appointment I thought everything would be okay. I was very wrong. Dr. Riar was a liar and is a horrible doctor. I thought I was getting help but I was just being spun in circles again. I will never go back. I feel worse off and life continues to be a nightmare. Original Post: I really want to write an in depth and informative review about the wonderful experience I have had so far, but part of the reason I am seeing PMA is for my excessive sleepiness and exhaustion. Long story short: Excellent experience. All around amazing from the phone call to schedule to the front desk staff to the doctor herself. The whole office is communicative, answers the phone, responds to messages, respectful, listen well, and all around made me feel comfortable and happy. I am pleased with Dr. Riar and the staff so far and will be seeing them again in September.
good luck getting them to pick up their appointment line. It takes me 10 calls before I am ever able to reach them.
Had a referral for them 6+ months ago, never heard anything from them. Reached out to my PCP multiple times to resend the referral because I never heard from them. Still nothing. Don’t waste your time with this office.
I had a referral sent here 2 1/2 months ago. i’ve been calling and leaving voicemails since they received my referral. I have had nobody reach out to me, I decided to go into the office. They told me they are still processing my referral and they do not have a date of when my referral will be processed by, therefore, I cannot schedule an appointment. As well as giving me no reason on why it is still being processed. So I called my insurance company and filed a grievance against this office for their poor professionalism and not wanting to do their jobs. My insurance called the Sacramento pulmonary location which actually answers the phone and got my referral processed and approved by end of day. Just waiting on my call to schedule an appointment. Please avoid Roseville’s location. Please schedule the office in Sacramento.
I was referred to pulmonary medical associates for my doctor for help with my CPAP treatment. After 10+ phones calls and no responses, I finally called my primary back about the issue. They called the patient coordinator directly, who told them I was already scheduled for an appointment months from that time. PMA did not call to let me know they scheduled or even check I was available at that time. I also received no information regarding if it was in person, virtual or how to prepare. Overall, attempting to use these people has delayed my treatment by about 1.5 months. This has been terrible for me as my sleep is still very bad and I am barely getting by and able to work all day. I do not recommend anyone use this place as they seem to have no consideration for their patients at all.
