be careful when you schedule anything here. was supposed to have sleep study done at the VACAVILLE location. life circumstances made me choose this location and JIVA health. all the sleep study technicians called in sick on a holiday weekend (coincidentally?) so i was forced to drive over hour away otherwise reschedule 2 months later. do not pick a friday or monday to get work done here.
be careful if you have tricare. Had a tricare referral and authorization, give them my tricare insurance info. They double checked this on the night of the sleep study. Now they are saying I have a $2,000 dollar bill for the sleep study.
12/16/24 I arrived on Oxygen and in a Wheelchair for a Sleep Study. I informed my Tech that I was in a Wheelchair because I had a heart condition and was unable to stand. I don't remember her name, but she was a Black Woman. As she connected me to all the electrodes, headgear and hoses, I asked her what time she gets off work and she said, 6am. The next morning, she woke me up and took me from a horizontal 8hr sleeping position to standing beside the bed, so she could remove all the Sleep Study headgear electrodes, and hoses. I begged and pleaded with her to let me sit down because I was losing consciousness, and she refused. I then took my Oxymeter out of my pocket, placed it on my finger, showing her my O2 was 82% and Pulse was 168. At that point my Son stepped in and I collapsed on to the bed. She then climbed all over my lifeless body, removing the rest of the Sleep Study probes. To add insult to injury, she then removed the bedding from beneath my body and said "you cannot use a pillow." After laying down for 5mins my Son was able to get me into my Wheelchair and took me to our car. As my Son was putting my Wheelchair in the trunk, I watched this lady get in her car and leave, I then looked at my phone and it was 5:10am. She'd previously told me her shift ended at 6am. Was her rush to get me out spurred by Jiva Health allowing their employees to go home as long as all patients have left the building? Shame on Jiva Health!
I had a wonderful experience at JIVA Health sleep center Vacaville California. I went October 6th 2024. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was nervous about the room being too hot. So I brought a fan. But when I arrived inside I was so happy to feel the room was nice and cool. It helps you get to sleep. I had a wonderful technician her name was Joy and her name suits her well. My take on this is if you have anxiety about this just relax it will be okay. I feel like if your technician has a good vibe and is kind and talks to you you will get through the experience, wonderfully. Thank you to my technician Joy for making me comfortable and feel safe.
