Wonderful staff and comfortable environment for a sleep study!
Dr. Kenneally took the time to listen to my situation and offered multiple solutions. We discussed them and decided what would be best for me and planned a follow up. Dr. Kenneally really cares about her patients and her practice!
I got caught in horrendous traffic due to an accident on the way to my appointment - I live less than four miles away and it took 90 minutes to get to Chicago ENT. I sat on hold for an hour, calling the second I realized traffic was bad, trying to give them a heads up that I wouldn't be on time. Finally got through and was told that the doctor has a strict late policy and would cancel my appointment if I was over 10 minutes late. I arrived at the doors 11 minutes late and was told my appointment had been canceled and I would pay a cancelation fee. I understand that being late was on me - I have a bigger issue that I was held on hold for one hour, listening to a recording over and over again about how much they care about their patients, not able to get through to give a heads up, only to have it canceled and pay a fee after I sat in my car for over an hour to get there. Just a complete customer headache (not to mention the ear ache I've had for months that led me to this office) and lack of empathy.
I had a comprehensive sleep analysis at the Peterson location just last night 5/6. I showed up @30 minutes early for my 9pm slot, another fellow came in soon afterward for the 9:30. Only one tech was on duty to prep us both, and the process took at least 30 minutes. She was soft-spoken and patient, but after applying countless suckers and wires to my person she discovered a faulty connection, which traced it to the motherboard itself (a mini switchboard). Also, their machine would not accommodate my tubing, and I had to use theirs, which resulted in a 'linty' throat when I awoke. Back to the wiring, it was very constricting to where I could only sleep on my right side the entire night. I was finally cleared to sleep @9:40 while the other guy was waiting outside my room waiting to be hooked up himself. I didn't start to fall asleep til @11:05 but woke up several times because of my lack of movement and my pillows' constant shifting backwards. I woke @5:20. The tech took my suckers off, which left a lot of goo in my hair. Overall I felt the prep process and amenities were lacking- not horrible, but needing improvement. Even in filling out the post-sleep paperwork, the comment lines were very small and it was hard to write small enough. Anyway, glad it's done and I'm looking forward to seeing the results.
