Like others in this review have noted: 1. The communication with the office is poor and not integrated with Providence MyChart, even though they are part of the Providence location and referred by my Providence primary care doctor. In today's world, not having any online communication ability is a big problem, and as someone in work calls all day I pretty much never answer my phone during business hours, which is the only time they ever try to call. 2. A couple of appointments and a year later, I finally got a CPAP machine which required an in-person training which is pretty silly since it is easier to use than a microwave. But since it's regulated they got to stall me, make me commute in-person to an office, waste my time and bill me for the training anyway. 3. A lot of time was spent during the first appointments getting told what my insurance was going to cover, yet in the end my insurance didn't pay anything at all, and I was sent to collections without any warning (maybe they tried to call while I was at work, but a digital or physical bill in the mail would have been the way to get paid). Now my credit is dinged already I'm fighting the nearly $1k bill payment on principal because I feel ripped off. The time, money and hassle which gates this currently is a problem at a federal level. I don't think it's cool to regulate the CPAP hardware such that it's off-free-market. If you can find any other way to purchase a CPAP machine, even used, do it!
Everything was explained so I could understand. I was made to feel at ease and comfortable. I am still waiting to hear from Seaside Providence to let me know when they have received the "home sleep kit"!
Never recieved a bill until I got notified by collections. Went back and checked and in addition to never getting a bill they never billed my insurance or my secondary insurance and the provider is in network.
Preliminary meeting with an NP for a sleep test and felt like I was being sold a car. Did not consider or seem to care about my individual concerns and used scare tactics to encourage me to agree to move forward with the sleep study. Had no interest in addressing my specific issues, just provided the schpeil about the dangers of sleep apnea (which was not the purpose of my test but they did not care at all about that). Was almost giddy when I agreed to move forward with the study (did so because I felt pushed and feared into it). It makes me wonder if they get a bonus for booking people into the sleep study. This person doesnt seem like they care at all.
The Oregon Clinic’s staff and providers are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I took a visit there to speak to Dr. Ramseyer about my sleep issues. He answered all my questions and provided me with a take home sleep test. The end result was a positive and educational experience for me. I’d highly recommend The Oregon Clinic.
