Absolutely horrible like being stuck in a hitchcock movie and unable to get out from ER to the end of my four day stay. Stay away if you possibly can.
So I recently visited the ED twice this week. I’ve been here before. No doubt I’ll come again. But this week I have a few comments. Dr. Junn (on the first visit), Dr. Maddox (on the second visit. The RNs from triage to bedside care. Take a moment to understand you all are vital and important to the community. I was not dying. I was in pain. You exceeded my expectations, you listened, you responded and showed compassion, expertise and a true understanding that I needed to be kept informed. So thanks. Brittany (RN), Paula (RN) Dr’s Junn and Maddox et al… thanks. 30 hours after my second visit my “stones” passed. As expected Urology did not-has not followed up. I’ll call them Monday. But thanks for the referral. Florence is a small town. An aging small town. I, for one, appreciate y’all. And will voice my praise louder than my criticism. Happy holidays.
I'm not sure if it's PeaceHealth Harbor Florence or PeaceHealth Harbor Riverbend, but either way it's clear that the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing and they have the most incompetent scheduling department I have experienced in my long history of scheduling for health related tests. I could go on and on about how bad they are, but what's the point, they don't seem to care and nothing ever gets done about it. I guess after years of excellent patient customer service and care at Hoag Hospital in S. Calif. I'll have to suck it up and realize that they have the only game in town and they know it so I'll just have to settle for this horrible service or look for another hospital/ treatment center in Portland or fly back down to S. Cal.
Went to the ER here after a hiking injury. Everyone was wonderful and caring, from the desk out front to the doctor and nurses that were involved in my care. Dr. Shannon and her team were awesome! Thank you!
My husband and I moved to Florence 2 years ago. Finding a regular provider was almost impossible. During those 2 years we had to us the Emergency Room at PeaceHarbor 3 times. I can't say enough positive things about the care we have received while in the ED. From the reception staff, nurses, techs and physician we were treated with kindness, compassion and technical/medical competence every visit. On one visit for a flu type illness they caught a carcinoma on my kidney that was a complete shock. Due to that early finding this carcinoma is being addressed now, instead of after it has grown and is too late. I would highly recommend the PeaceHarbor Emergency Department for emergent care to any one.
