Disappointed experience- please advocate for yourself. I called to help get a family member started to get a sooner appointment since our area is booked out. I asked questions on what the appointments would look like. I was told the first appointment was a consultation to which my partner called to get set up and was told the same thing. That the first appointment was a consultation and then they would start setting up the sleep study. My partner waited the few months and headed out on his commute. A nurse took his BP, took his paperwork, looked at his throat and sent him out. No consultation was done, no communication/ information was given. He had to ask questions since he was referred here on what is was expected next. He left very upset and feeling Mislead on what the appointments are to look like after we called prior since commuting. I called to follow up with a manager. When asking the front desk personal to speak to her manager she scoffed and said “ I don’t have one.” I work in healthcare myself know that’s not true. There has to be a director, manager, or administrator. I informed of that and she paused and informed me her manger isn’t there. I asked for a called back to which the front desk personal was hesitant. Kept asking WHY, and what this pertains too. I kept informing her I will discuss this with her manager. I left my name and number and to no surprise there has been NO CONTACT!! As someone who works in community health, please be aware of who you go too. Please know your rights and know how you should be cared for. Kindness, communication, and information is so Empowering for patients and your providers should give you that.
