My complaint Dr. Kellie Kurasaki is Medical malpractice. On my 1st visit she ignored serious health injuries I had and refused to address or discuss any other medical conditions other than my liver the day I met her for treatment. I had a back injury she completely ignored and wouldn't discuss that was a TDI. I even handed her a paper of medical injuries and she left it in the room and left. I submitted it to the front desk personnel. I think they threw it in the trash the paper I gave them. If you are concerned about your health do not get Dr. Kellie Kurasaki as your physician. Run the other way. Dr Kellie Kurasaki is unprofessional and obviously is not concerned with peoples medical needs. She does thing her way which is going to amount to a formal complaint to the medical review board of Hawaii and other government agencies.
9-28-25From having Fred R.N greet us as my nurse that morning My son and son felt very comfortable being taken there by the ambulance drivers as we had no idea where we were going for treatment. I am from Florida visiting Hawaii for the first time I had fallen very hard in my son's apartment feeling I may have broken something or fractured the knee. FrEd was very kind and thoughtful making us comfortable. Dr. K. Miyamoto was the dr.Hospitalist for my case and treatment. Very kind and helpful in getting me admitted for a few days until the Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Lorin Lee had X-rays taken to see the damage. No break or fracture but a sac surrounding my arthritic knee needed to be addressed . He ordered an Arthroscopic procedure to clean out the loose debris on that knee . It was done shortly afterwards very quickly using a machine to puncture the skin with two holes which I had done 35-40 years prior in Mi. But this time it was much easier and b less painful one or two holes quickly administered and the debris removed with it , where years before I had b to have it done in two or three holes much more b painful. Thank heaven for updated surgeries. I will see dr. Lee again to have the stitches removed .I have been doing P.t that the dr's & Nurses have helped me work on even through the discomfort. I am told once the stitches are removed I should be able to walk more comfortably as I have a walker. Hoping that won't take long as I am flying back to Orlando on 10-22-25 . Dr. Miyamoto is such a great caring dr. For his patients and each R.N and nurses have been absolutely caring and available when I needed assistance Beau the R. N in charge on many shifts had been very kind and helpful to me during b my stay as well as the Nurse aides, other R. N's housekeepers and meal delivery persons. Naomi , Kat, , and so many other nurses were outstanding that I can't remember their names but were so wonderful to me during my stay as a patient. I have to admit this facility could use a big updating and replacing overhead tiles but the care is amazing. Dr. Medjewski is a great doctor also They all work so hard to get you well and back on your feet. I will go hoe with good memories of these wonderful. Care givers .. Barbara Kenyon
My mom was a patient here, and I was really disappointed. The bed, table, and IV pole were old and rusty. The ceiling was full of dust, and it honestly felt like staying in a rundown hotel in Las Vegas. The food was terrible! The hospital looks nice from the outside, but the inside tells a very different story.
Everyone here is extremely polite and professional. Amazing encounter from the front desk to the doctors and nurses. They made me comfortable throughout my whole visit until my procedure was complete. 5/5
The nurse Fred was really rude. Most of the staff here is rude. My nephew came in and his blood pressure was high over 200 and when I told the Dr. His reply was he only treat low blood pressure in the ER. WTH! If the staff here don't like there job they need to find another profession. I will never come back to this hospital. Terrible!
