The experience from walking to leaving was amazing. They took amazing care of my mother.
Rude, condescending, and patronizing ER doctor would interrupt me mid sentence several times. Wrote down wrong info and info I did not say on summary. Left feeling completely unsatisfied.
I came into the outpatient area of the hospital today to have my very first mammogram ever. The lady, and I so apologize that I cannot remember her name, because she was fantastic, was absolutely a pro! She put me at ease, she explained everything as she was doing it and before she did it, she was very quick, but thorough, and just made that experience a piece of cake! I highly recommend if anyone has been putting off a mammogram to make an appointment at Saint Francis in Vinita! You will not regret that decision!
We had a midnight trip to the ER after my elementary age daughter had an accident that resulted in what we thought was a broken ankle. We are from out of town and were nearby in Grand Lake on vacation. Although we were seen relatively quickly, we had a horrible experience between one of the male nurses, and the male xray technician. I wish I had gotten both of their names. Both individuals were incredibly rude towards my husband and I. The xray technician was very rough with my daughters foot while he was taking pictures and showed no empathy or kindness as she screamed crying in pain while he placed her foot in 15+ uncomfortable positions to get the angles needed for the xrays. I can understand why its necessary. But it was the lack of any sympathy and kindness towards a crying child with a swollen ankle who is clearly in an unbearable amount of pain that really irritated me. He didn't once apologize for the circumstance or give her words to reassure her or encourage her. Other than being rough and abrupt in moving her leg for each picture, he said nothing. I even asked at one point if it was necessary to be that rough (because she was screaming in pain) and all he said was "yep." The male nurse who brought us back to our room proceeded to tell my husband and sister who were with us that there wasn't enough room in the ER room for everyone to come back. But then proceeded to allow other families to not follow that same rule. That action, in combination with how my daughter was treated seemed to be in relation to the color of their skin. My daughter and husband are brown. Both male nurses are white. In a town of mostly white people, it was very clear that we were being treated differently because of it. I will be calling any corporate office for them that I can find in order to file an official complaint. Pick a new profession.
Just a few weeks ago I had to take a trip to the ER because I thought I had vertigo. I went to a different ER first and they let me lay there an hour and a half in massive pain so I went back home. By 9:30 that night I couldn't move my entire right side. I couldn't stand upright without falling over. So I had a friend of mine take me to St Francis ER. I cannot remember the attending Dr's last name, Brian was his first name. He was right on his game, there was no wait time, and he had to have known exactly what was wrong because he gave me the right scans and tests and found a cancerous tumor in my brain. As soon as he got a chance He called and located a neurosurgeon at Tulsa hospital and had a room ready for me before I even left the ER. He and his staff I am eternally grateful to. The security guard that was on duty that night was also extremely helpful and concerned. I've never been more impressed. I had my brain surgery 4 days ago so tumor free now. Thank you Dr Brian I truly appreciate you and your staff. God Bless you
