My PCP ordered a home sleep study, and on 31 July 2025 I received a text on my smart phone from MedBridge Healthcare located in Greenville, South Carolina with a link to complete the information necessary for me to receive the device necessary to do the home sleep study. I filled in all required information, which included a credit card, and was supposed to receive the device within a week. When it did not arrive, I called and was told the delay was due to IT problems. When it finally did arrive after the 20th of August, it did not come from MedBridge, but instead from a company called HOMESLEEP located in New Jersey. At the time it was inconvenient for me to do the sleep study, so I immediately called MedBridge to ask for an extension to avoid a late fee in returning the device. The representative said that I had until 5 September 2025 to complete the sleep study and return the device. I returned the device on 2 September 2025, and according to UPS tracking, it arrived at HOMESLEEP THE NEXT DAY. Imagine my surprise and anger when on Saturday, 4 October 2025 I saw an email receipt from MedBridge Healthcare for a $175.00 late fee charged to my Mastercard. On Monday, 6 October 2025 I spent almost TWO hours on the phone with MedBridge Healthcare trying to get this resolved. There are three numbers listed on the website. It took nearly half an hour before any of them answered. When I finally got someone in billing, I was told that she only did billing for doctors' offices. I tried every option on every number. The last rep that I spoke with told me that there was no recourse but to file a dispute with my credit card company, because the new CEO had rescinded the extension policy and any client who had received one was being charged a late fee. Of course I have filed a dispute with my credit card company, but this should not have been necessary. PLEASE LET YOUR DOCTORS KNOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE OTHER COMPANIES THAT PROVIDE THIS SAME SERVICE.
If your doctor wants you to do an at home sleep study from this place avoid at all costs! They are not BBC accredited, why are medical institutions even using their services? They take a month or more to actually send a diagnostic machine, the one I received was faulty, so my test was no good. Took another month to send another, had a family emergency, forgot to return, ridiculous charges for being a few days late, along with threatening texts. Promptness and accountability only expected from customers I guess, not the company.
First lady I spoke to was incredibly rude. Had no idea they would be reaching out about my sleep study, lady just straight up asked for my credit card info, I was hesitant because of all the scams these days. She was offended by this and became very unprofessional, including hanging up on me. So apparently she felt her anger for me being hesitant to give my CC over the phone to a company I knew nothing about or didn't expect was enough for her to decide I don't need sleep apnea treatment. Then after verifying, I gave all the required info for them to send the sleep study. It's now been 2 months and I've called multiple times with messages for them to call me back and they still haven't returned my call nor sent the equipment. I spoke to another lady just now, she said let me transfer you to who handles. Surprise, they didn't answer so I left another voicemail (probably the 4th or 5th time now). My confidence they'll call back is not high at all.
SCAM!!!! I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK CARD ACCESS!!!! The company will charge you after telling you they don't charge fees unless they don't get back their equipment. Everyone just lies to you at this company. I thankfully was able too finally get in contact with a woman who actually cared and had a heart. She helped me get back the money the company stole from me.
Dishonest. You posted on my credit report but list a bogus number. I have tried to call this number for days and it doesn't work. Very dishonest!!! Hard to pay you and when I call your billing number no one answers and it just says to send you an email. BAD BUSINESS!!! You have dinged my credit and yet give me know way to pay you!
