I had a sleep study last night. The bed was comfortable ,and the room was nice and dark. The technicians were very professional and competent. I request a female technician to hook up all my wires and they were accommodating. Sonja made me feel so at ease. Alex unhooked me the morning. They were both very helpful and took good care of me. I recommend DCOL to anyone needing a sleep study!
first my sleep study was done at home.
Scheduled for a sleep study Nov 8. My Cardiologist requested the study. I'm not sure of the study is to see if I need a C-pap machine or to check out my sleep pattern. I take the medicine prescribed as prescribed but most of the time if i take my night dose of medicine at 10 pm I'm up till about 5 am. If I take it at 9 pm I'm up till about 300-400 am. Will write a review afterwards.
I got there at 7:30 for an 8:00 sleep study. tried the door locked knocked on it nothing. after standing in the hall for ten minutes my legs and back where knotting up no bench no nothing so I knock again nothing so I had to sit on the floor well by eight I worked around got off the floor and knocked on the door and tried the handel nothing after standing there fo a minute I remember that there is a bench on the ground level nex to elevator so I went down there so I could give my legs and back a rest. I was back up stares at 8:20 knocking on the door and trying the handel. after about five minutes Im on the floor because of my back and legs at 8:30 I go on line get the number and call what sounds like a teenage girl answers saying be right there we where probley in the back. So at 8:42 I am pissed so home I go. I will never return or recommend this place . Stay away dont waste your time.
My experience with the sleep study. The sleep study went fine, the technician contacted me a few days later. I was told that I have a very minor case of sleep apnea. It was prescribed that I use a CPAP and after 3 months come back for another sleep study, at that point they would make an appointment with the Dr. Guillory. My complaint is if I have a minor case of sleep apnea why not suggest other alternatives before prescribing an expensive machine (also sold by the same company as Dr. Guillory receives her paycheck) Speaking with my personal Dr. and my oncologist there are several causes for which sleep apnea can be attributed to and with such minor results in my sleep study should have been tried first. As prescribed by Dr. Guillory from Diagnostic Clinic of Longview, I went forward with the CPAP. After being fitted for the device and brief lesson on how to use it I was asked if I would like to make an with Dr. Guillory. My answer was sure that would be great. I now have an appointment scheduled for Jan of 2018, yes thats 7 months away. Turns out I was told Dr. Guillory only works 2 half days a week. Now I hope there is good reasoning behind this schedule but at this point it appears to me that either the good Dr. does not care enough for her patients or Diagnostic Clinic of Longview has found a gold mine in Sleep disorders. My sleep study was prescribed by my oncologist, this was to help determine why I have elevated red blood cell count. My suggestion to anyone that requires a sleep study is to shop other provider in your that provide quality care. I will update this review after an appointment with Dr. Guillory This will give her the opportunity to provide a few answers to my concerns. Hope this helps
