My experience from check-in to check-out was excellent. Autumn Grimm, PA, demonstrated attentiveness throughout my visit and provided exceptional care.

Make you wait months and months for an appointment just to cancel on you then schedule you months and months out. Don’t ever pick up the phone or respond to voicemails. Won’t accept test from other locations that you got done faster in the middle of your wait for them to do the first diagnostic. Will charge you if you show up with outside test results and refuse doing test again there despite test results being less than a week old and from Walter Reed. Absolute dumpster fire. Also doctor won’t give you results same day he will schedule you out weeks or months later despite results being done within hours. Walter Reed gave me answers 10 mins after my EMG/NCV and got me in within 2 months. Again absolute dumpster fire.

I waited several months for this neurology appointment, hoping to finally get some understanding and help for my ongoing vestibular issues. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Grimm was extremely disappointing. She came across as cold and dismissive, and at one point even rolled her eyes while I was speaking. I left the appointment feeling invalidated and unheard. When I became emotional explaining how much I’ve been struggling physically for years, she seemed to focus mainly on my mental health instead of the physical symptoms I came to discuss. Without really asking or discussing it with me, she sent a behavioral health referral — which felt inappropriate and dismissive in that moment. Ironically, my mental health did worsen after the appointment because I left feeling so hopeless and dismissed. I cried through much of the appointment and sat in my car afterward for nearly ten minutes sobbing. While I don’t doubt Dr. Grimm’s intelligence, her bedside manner and empathy were severely lacking. I did not feel listened to, believed, or cared for. After four years of suffering, this appointment was one of the most discouraging experiences I’ve had in seeking medical help.

The care here has really gone down since Jake Gardner left! I suffer from chronic migraines, and Gardner finally helped find the right preventative and maintenance medications after numerous failed attempts with others. I was switched over to Grimm, who said she wouldn’t refill one of my rescue meds because she didn’t like prescribing it (thankfully my amazing PCP took care of that! Next my maintenance shot to help prevent migraines needed a prior authorization due to switching to a new insurance. I tried for two days to even get in touch with anyone about sending it in. I finally got someone, only for them to tell me it was denied (now the day before I am supposed to take my shot) and was told there’s nothing that can be done about it until my appointment in September when someone can actually see me…and there is nothing availability until then. So I absolutely no longer recommend this place as I once did. Front desk staff and nurses are very friendly as usual, but the providers I do not recommend.
