Awful experience! My son called in January for an appt. Their first availability was July. Today (April 10th) they call to reschedule because the doctor has a conference on that day. She said the next availability is September 9th! My son has been having SEVERE breathing problems. Her reply was I can keep calling back EVERYDAY to see if they have a cancellation. YEAH RIGHT! I'm going to find a different office that values its patient's health MORE than a conference.

Dr. Karl William Thomas is the best!! He is compassionate, listens to you, is very knowledgeable and on top of our health !! He truly cares about his patients and he is doing everything he can to make our health better now and in the years to come. I can't say enough good things about our entire experience here from checkin to checkout! I Highly recommend Dr. Thomas!

I received the results the next day on Duke MyChart from a pulmonology procedure Dr. Pugh had ordered, but didn’t hear back from Dr. Pugh. About 2 weeks later, my primary care doctor reviewed the results of the procedure with me but said that it was important that Dr. Pugh, a pulmonologist, should talk to me. My primary doctor sent an urgent message to Dr. Pugh and, then, had to send a follow-up as no reply. About 2 weeks later, Dr. Pugh finally sent me a one-sentence email about the results. Also, there were issues with his nursing/admin. staff. I decided to switch pulmonologists. Dr. Pugh doesn’t really care about his patients.

Receptionists were rude and not helpful at all, having inappropriate conversations on the phone and everyone waiting heard. Was told to come an hour before my appt for a test and wasn't taken back until over an hour so I wasted my day here. Dr came in and didn't have any real suggestions or guidance, told me to go back to the doctor that referred me. Waste of time, money, and nothing but aggravation coming here.

I am a driver and owner of Transcare transportation services, which is a NEMT provider. On 2-27-2020 i took one of my clients to her appointment at Duke Pulmonary. While in the lobby my client stated that she needed to use the bathroom, but due to physical limitations would need assistance. This is when one of the receptionist, Cortney , went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did she call around to other offices and find an adult diaper for my client. She also assisted her in the bathroom. On top of that when she returned my client to the lobby she offered her a bottle of water, chips and a warm smile. I would like to commend Mrs Reese for showing compassion and respect to one of our older citizens and allowing her to maintain her dignity. Thank you and God bless you.
