Never had any issues here. The doctors and staff do care for all the patients.

You must have an appointment to get labwork drawn, or you'll wait for hours to do it as a walk-in. My clinic called and told me to go get lab work done, but they didn't tell me I needed an assignment. When I got there, I was told it would be a 3-4 hours wait as a walk-in. I wasted a trip there and still haven't gotten my labs drawn yet.

When patients are put under they refuse to let family see them on their way out. Every hospital I've ever been to, besides this one, took better care of the relationship between patient and family. Anesthesia has risks, patients should be able to see their families as they are falling asleep. Care staff have been very calous about us even asking on more than one occasion. It makes me sick to my stomach and very distressed not being able to properly see my family member off for surgery.

Where do I even start???? I have been to and worked at a few health care facilities and this by far is the WORST. You get nothing but attitude on the phone when you call to schedule an appointment. The office staff in pediatrics is terrible. Attitude there and not a kid friendly place by any means. The nurse ( non military ) was grumpy and talked down to the parents that were bringing kids in. The front office could really care less. The doctors have been great, the rest of the staff would have you question if the visit is even worth it.

I was very hesitant to switch my daughters pediatrician here after hearing some of the things about base hospitals. However, I am SO glad I did. Any time she has been seen, the staff has always been very gentle, kind, informative, patient, and the list goes on and on. The doctors really listen to you and don’t over complicate things. I also had to take my daughter (8 months old) to the ER. They informed me that they don’t really see pediatric patients here but let me tell you, they were PHENOMENAL. My baby had to be deep suctioned so they sent respiratory down. The ladies were amazing. They made sure to explain the process, make sure I was comfortable with the procedure, we’re very gentle with baby and we’re all around wonderful. They didn’t do anything to my baby that I don’t think they wouldn’t have done to their own. The only reason I’m rating this a four is because they need to set aside funding for pediatric care. Wright Patterson NEEDS to ensure their staff is comfortable and has the necessities to perform care on small children. The families should not have to worry if medical can adequately care for their children should the need come up. They were wonderful with my baby, but they also weren’t as comfortable working with her as they could have been.
