I went here cause my daughter had an allergic reaction to milk. And I was surprised at how good this place was. We didn't have to wait in the emergency room long, it was like a 4 minute wait. The staff were nice and polite to us. This place is the best hospital I ever been too. Parking was good and close to emergency entrance. Thanks Carteret Health Care Staff....

They got us in quick just to keep us sitting for over 4 hours in the EMERGENCY ROOM! The nurses know exactly what is wrong but cannot do anything without a doctor. Good staff I’m not entirely to sure what is causing a 4+ hour wait.

So I wrote a review for ER, but I would like to write one for the surgical ward. After an urgent surgery to clear a blockage of my small intestine, spent seven days in their care. Doctor came in at least once every day. Explained the next treatment (mostly getting me upright and mobile to deal with the unavoidable side effects of surgery). Had excellent nurses, but I want to call out Kelli on dayshift who was amazing. I also want to thank the nursing assistant Steph who sat with me and helped me dealing with the NG tube and severe nausea (could only have one infusion of medication every six hours for it). As soon as I am 100%, bringing in thank you gifts. Thank you all. From Dr. Martsen to the wonderful people who cleaned up my room following the NG tube insertion. You were wonderful every step of the way.

Very thorough, compassionate care from the PM shift in the ER on 09/23. I Ended up in the ER during an out of state trip. From check in, triage to discharge I was kept well informed. The transport techs were careful and efficient. Good patient teaching from the providers, nurses and radiology. Well done, CHC. Thank you.

Our 16 year old daughter had to have meniscus surgery on her tear. I have to say the whole staff that had direct interactions with her was phenomenal. The nurses (Penny) that prepared her for the surgery ensured she stayed calm and made sure she knew what they were doing. The nurse anesthetist (Karissa Krause) was so kind to her and shared what her profession entails since my daughter wants to go into the medical field. She stayed and talked to her to ensure she understood what she would be doing. She was so nice to her and genuine. The discharge nurse was so patient with her coming out of the anesthesia and she even started singing with her. We received our follow up call early the next day. They were concerned and made sure their patient was recovering properly. The staff and hospital was top notch!!!!!!
