Had to get stitches and had complications due to being told one type of stitching was used but another was used so called to verify what kind of stitching was used. Nurse at nurse station very rudely said she doesn't have time to help anyone and just go to another hospital.

Staff not on task, walking around talking and laughing while patient wait. Would be good if they would inform patients of what and why they are waiting during process. At one time was much better than ECU Health North but now they are both batting a 1 on a scale of 1-5

Decided to stop in after traveling from High Point, NC to Virginia Beach, VA. Was pretty sick with inflamed left ear and now diagnosed Flu A. Hadn't slept too good from a prior ER visit resulting in an allergic reaction to pet dander and dealing with the Epinephrine pen. I was feeling slightly light headed and wanted to make sure my vitals and blood pressure were ok and didn't want to chance anything as I still had about one hour and thirty minutes remaining on my journey. When I walked in, I felt already a sense of relief and the nice lady at the registration window helped me check in and was seen immediately. I was taken back to room nine by two very nice nurses and they aided me onto the hospital bed and began checking my vitals. I did have high blood pressure due to walking in and probably being very anxious about what was wrong with me still. They let me relax for an hour to let my blood pressure come down as well as my heart rate. I was introduced to Dr. Kergosien, MD and was very professional and made me feel at ease. I explained to this gentleman what had been going on and was suprised to know that during my recent visits in NC, no one conducted a covid or strept swab test. He put a request in to have it done and the nurse took my sample. After about 90 minutes, it was to my suprise that the test had come back positive for Flu A. That would explain the head pressure and possible ear agitation and popping. If it wasn't for the medical vigilance of Dr. Kergosien then I may not have known that the Flu had a lot to do with my coughing and respiratory issues. Everyone was so professional and I appreciate all the hard work you all do. Thank you folks and god bless.

I live in Roanoke rapids and refuse to go to the hospital there. Everytime me or my son need emergency care I go here. I've been going here for years now and have always been pleased with the hospital service and care for the patient. Not to mention they get you in and out within the hour. I've only had 1 visit last more than an hour. They are friendly, quick, caring, compassionate and overall amazing people working there. I would recommend this hospital to anyone and have in fact recommended it to my family and friends.

Bringing my mother to the ER for an arm issue, Dr Henry was extremely rude and doesn’t do very well listening to customers! He comes across as a know it all. When he first came in, he quickly began to diagnose her without having all of the details. As he went on with his dissertation, I interrupted him and asked if he checked her chart. I also provided more information on the reasons we came in today. He stated that she needs to see her primary care doctor. I said, “I understand and that’s what we’re planning to do, but we would like to have her symptoms relieved until she sees her primary doctor”. In a nutshell, he needs to do a better job of listening as this could lead to improper treatment and diminished care. This is the second time this year my 82 year old mother has experienced poor customer service that could have impacted the care she should have gotten. In February, we had to convince a different doctor at this same hospital to test her for a particular type of major issue even though he did not see the need to do so. Thankfully, he listened because she did actually have this condition and she was then treated for it. My mother also went to the ER last week as well and the staff was great! The nurses have always been awesome!! :)
