A referral was submitted by my general physician 2/26/25 and they've claimed to not receive it but everytime I've called my general physician, they tell me it was processed by their office 2/26. I've gotten ahold of someone once and they said they didn't have it. I left a message again and never heard back so I called 3 days later and still no record of the referral. Not only that, the woman i spoke to had a nasty attitude. This is after I was told a blockage of my venous sinus at the base of my brain was found in a CT. I have no official diagnosis and everything I've looked up has me quite scared. Now, I understand they are in the midst of transition but nobody should ever have to advocate so much for their own care.

My dad was seen in the ER. Everyone treated him with the utmost respect, from the neurologist to the custodian. Very knowledgeable staff. My dad is feeling so much better today. 5 Stars KU Med!!!

I am a patient at KU. I was put on a medication for a condition that was determined I didn’t have. I calling the clinic numerous times to ask about continuing the medication. They never returned calls. Had to wait 6 months until my appointment, and I had to bring the subject up. Very disappointed in my neurologist. I have no doubt there are several outstanding doctors in that department, however, I had such a hard time communicating with my doctor. I will not be returning to him for sure. May not even go back to the KU health system at all.

I had to reschedule my appointment, per KU Med's conflict. When I called to do that the first time, the man that I spoke to was kind enough, but not very helpful; almost insulting. I called back and spoke to LaQuitha, who was AMAZING!!! She was VERY helpful, and did everything that she could to make sure I got in. Great job, LaQuitha! Keep up the GREAT work!

After reading some of the reviews, I was skeptical about coming to KU, even though my PCP is a KU doctor, I scheduled my appointment in July of 2023, for Feb 27th 2024. I waited and waited and waited. I had 16-18 migraine days A MONTH. Debilitating migraines.. I got an email Dec 1st 2023, stating there was an opening for Dec 6th 2023 at 9am, and I RAN so fast to take the appointment. I want to THANK Dr Lay for taking his time, listening and creating a plan to take care of me. I AM ONE WEEK MIGRAINE FREE. 🙏🙏 I pray for everyone who is suffering at the moment. Even they apologized to me for how long I had to wait, they are so short staffed on neurologists. They also help out at the veterans locations too, so please be kind and patience
