Backstory: like many, my insurance deductible is ridiculous. Because of this, each time I go to a Dr., I ask in advance what the visit fee is. I ask to confirm the cost before making an appt or coming as a walk-in. I ask multiple times to ensure I’m not misunderstanding or being misunderstood in my questions. Over 6 months later, I get a bill in the mail. I call & am informed the front desk doesn’t have access to visit fees. Instead of the front desk admitting they don’t know the base fee, or that they only take a deposit towards the cost, they told me the visit fee is a flat amount at my original appointment - with no mention that I might get a bill later for any difference. I was trying not to cry at the absurdity of the American healthcare system, and the lack of information available/provided to patients by offices. At the end of our call, Emma put down the receiver without disconnecting and immediately made offhand comments to her colleagues that I could still hear. Before today, I was indifferent about this office. After today, I won’t be returning and hope future patients have better experiences (and better insurance).

I called BCBS to find an urgent care my insurance would help pay for. They said this was it. Only it’s not. They have themselves listed on some insurance data base as an urgent care but they are not. They told me I could only be seen if I changed my PCP to THEM. BCBS called them with me on the phone and they acted like they had no idea they were listed as an urgent care. Needless to say, I had to go elsewhere. BCBS is going to report them because they are NOT what they are claiming to be. So yeah. Sounds sketchy to me.

Well ,my son had a horrible cough that appeared out of no where. As soon as I got him out of school zoomed in there. They took him in, and I believe he was the last pt. Everyone was nice, and Dr was knowlegeable and attentive. Thank you to the receptionist who could've turned us away. Our experience was a good one. Thank you all.

Staff literally destroyed my driver's license without permission because it was a couple months out of date. I'm glad I already had gotten the paper one last week or it would have been extremely difficult to even get it replaced. (That one was in my car and I'd have happily provided it had they ASKED.) The fact it was expired is really only my best guess as to the reason. The woman at the desk refused to even acknowledge she had done it or explain why. I was not raising my voice or bring rude, at that point I was mostly just confused. It was the most bizarre interaction I'd ever had with a so called professional. She then informed me the cost to even see a doctor was a flat fee of $110, nearly twice what it had been the last time. No thanks. I called around and Detar on Demand only charges $75. I should've gone there in the first place. So basically I got off work and drove to Crossroads for nothing but having my driver's license cut in half. I won't be coming back here ever again. Even aside from everything else, there are better and more affordable clinics in Victoria.
