If you're looking for a cardiologist here, I would absolutely not recommend John David Bisognano. I did research on so many doctors and thought he would be a great fit, but he absolutely let me down. Nice guy, but he rushed through the appointment and didn't even listen to everything I had to say about my symptoms. Tried to say I have sleep apnea off of one minor piece of information, but I do not. Then was finally able to see that in my chart and correct himself after being so sure. He ordered some blood work and an echocardiogram and then said okay, you're all set, the receptionist will check you out. I was speechless for a moment and then asked him if that was really it... I have been having heart issues for years and I thought by coming here I could hopefully get some answers. So I drove 2 and a half and was so disappointed. I even told him how disappointing I was and he just walked away down the hall rushing off to another appointment. I was in and out within a half hour from the time I walked into the building to the time I walked out, including bloodwork. Luckily the nurse checked in on me (I was pretty distraught) and she suggested a few other great doctors there saying that they would take the time to listen to me. I'm just beside myself with how short and cold and empty my appt ended up being and I waited months for it! I just want a good doctor to please listen to me! 🙏
Pediatric urology is extremely unorganized. They have had us drive an hour to see them twice, and both times we’ve been told that WE didn’t do what was necessary to have a proper appointment. The first time, we were told that our son was too young for the scan/procedure they needed to do and we shouldn’t have booked the appointment. (Maybe look at his information to see this before making us drive an hour?) The second time, they told us that ultrasounds need to be done offsite and sent in, but this was not communicated with us beforehand. We waited TEN months for this appointment with them only to be turned away once we got there. Please do better at communicating with your patients. This could have been avoided with proper instructions.
I brought my daughter here after she suffered a fracture in her wrist during gymnastics. I was shocked to be brought back, have X-rays done, and cast on all in under an hour. I was so impressed with the way things ran. In addition to that, the NP we saw, Donald Lawson, was wonderful. He made my daughter comfortable during the whole process and even let her pick two colors for her cast. While the reason for being here wasn't good, I am happy with the care they gave.
This review is specifically for dermatology at the Brighton office. I have never successfully had an appointment with them in the past 2 years. I will receive a call usually a week before my appointment telling me the provider is out of the office and they will reschedule me for another 3-4 months out. After 3 rescheduled appointments I finally went to another provider. Tried again to get my daughter in and received a call the night before that they were cancelling her appointment for the morning. I have never experienced something like this.
My doctors in this building are pretty good although due to my recent experience I’ll never trust any of them again. I’m a university hospital employee and went here after hurting myself at work the day before. This place is close to home and I tried palliative measures before going to a ER. So, first of all, I was limping and in a lot of pain and they put me in a chair. That was sign #1 that I was being blown off. Sign #2 a PA came in, sat in a chair next to me, gave me the most over rehearsed, idgaf, patronizing tone I've ever heard while dismissing me without so much as as form of trying to figure it out. He offered an X-Ray but told me ahead of time he wasn’t going to help me. Mind you, not in so many words, just very dismissive. I limped to a local urgent care where they did a couple simple tests and said it was most likely a torn ACL. At least they gave me a brace and crutches- and the time of day I deserved. I’ve been off work for a month on bed rest. My actual legit hospital, the one I work for, found quite a few things wrong with my knee with a simple MRI. It’s bad and could require surgery. I’m sure all the extra walking on it didn’t help. Healthcare is getting to the point of being useless as it is, but not caring if anything is wrong and being dismissed is probably the worst. To the PA- you’re everything wrong with our profession. To this hospital- you're a bad joke. I wouldn’t take my cat here for ear mites let alone recommend it to a human.
