**Review for Nemours Children’s Health Team** I recently took my daughter to Nemours for an appointment that included an EKG. The staff was fantastic, making her feel comfortable throughout the process. However, as we were driving home, the doctor called with a concern and asked us to return the same day. I was informed that if we couldn’t come back, the next appointment wouldn’t be until April 2026, which was quite alarming. Despite this scheduling issue, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for the care and attention my daughter received from all the doctors at Nemours. Their commitment to patient care is evident, and I am grateful for their support. Thank you to the entire team for your hard work and dedication!

This place was truly amazing. I was in the hospital for a few days and the staff were extremely kind and respectful. There are many meal options ranging from milk shakes, to salads. The playroom also has many things to do such as pool, and air hockey and more. This will place was extremely kind towards me and I will be thankful for the rest of my life for their care.

My daughter had a heart rate of 260 and was seen right away along with a huge team to treat her. Everyone was incredible, calm, and explaining things to us. My daughter was well cared for diagnosed, thoroughly tested, examined, and monitored. Her treatment was immediate and successful bringing her heart rate down along with being diagnosed and treated promptly. I can’t say enough amazing things about our experience which was terrifying yet we were so impressed and beyond grateful for the extreme care provided for our daughter and the communication and explanations given to us as the parents.

Monday night 12/1/25, we checked into the hospital around 7:30 PM and were not seen until 10:30 PM. Several people who arrived after us were seen and discharged long before we were even called back, which left me extremely confused. When I asked for an explanation, the front desk staff told me certain patients were being fast-tracked based on their needs. I fully understand triage I work in healthcare but my concern was for my son. He was confused, zoned out, said he felt like he was having an out-of-body experience, had no fever, was struggling with memory lapses, and was sleeping excessively. As a parent, I was terrified. He is normally an outgoing, athletic teenage boy, and something was clearly very wrong. When we finally got a room, we had the absolute pleasure of being cared for by Ashley, the overnight nurse. She was caring, compassionate, patient, and truly exceptional with my son. Her nursing skills were outstanding honestly, I wish I could have hired her for my own facility. My son hates needles, and she talked him through each step calmly and gently. She worked from about 10:30 PM to 3:00 AM until we were discharge, and she was phenomenal the entire time. She absolutely deserves Employee of the Month. Even the family next to us commented on how kind and attentive she was. What follows has nothing to do with Ashley. My son underwent several tests CT scan, blood work, urine tests, and more. At that point, I assumed they were testing thoroughly because I still had no idea what was happening with my once perfectly healthy child. Unfortunately, the doctor on call did not seem to know what was going on. She suggested my son “possibly” had a concussion, which he did not. She told me his tests were all normal, which was inaccurate — he had abnormal lab results, and they did not run his urine ( only drug screen) or test for common concerns like mono, Lyme disease, or other infections. This is now the second time in the last few months that I feel Nemours physicians have provided the **bare minimum for my child. Each time, I leave the hospital confused, only to go to a follow-up appointment and be told that the hospital failed to complete necessary tests — meaning my child must go through additional retesting and delays in care. From an insurance and quality of care standpoint, this is very concerning. As someone who works in healthcare, I know that hospitals are required to provide accurate documentation and appropriate clinical justification when submitting claims. When a facility submits a bill for emergency care without performing a complete evaluation or when key tests are not run, abnormal labs are not explained, and a clear diagnosis is not given it raises serious questions: How can a hospital bill for full emergency services when the evaluation was incomplete? How is it appropriate to charge for tests while failing to run others that were medically necessary based on symptoms? How can insurance companies fairly assess claims when the clinical picture is unclear due to missing workups? It is extremely frustrating as a parent and as a healthcare professional to see gaps in care, poor communication, and incomplete diagnostics — all while knowing a full emergency-room–level bill will still be submitted to me for payment. Nemours has incredible nurses like Ashley who truly make a difference, but the medical evaluation and follow-through from the physicians have repeatedly left me disappointed, concerned, and questioning the overall quality standards being upheld.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Nemours Hospital and Dr. Nichols and her amazing orthopedics team! Our son is only 2 months old, and thanks to their incredible care, his feet already look amazing. From the very first appointment, Dr. Nichols took the time to explain everything with such compassion, knowledge, and confidence — instantly putting us at ease. The entire team at Nemours has been kind, patient, and thorough. They truly treat every child as if they were their own. Watching our baby’s feet transform so beautifully in just a short time has been nothing short of miraculous. We are beyond grateful for their expertise and gentle care. If you’re looking for an orthopedic specialist who combines exceptional skill with genuine compassion, Dr. Nichols and the Nemours Orthopedics team are the absolute best! We’re so thankful for everything they’ve done for our little boy and our family. 💙
