FHC Siouxland Sleep Center

I had an appt today at 10:45 to see my pcp at this location. Upon arriving I was asked to provide my new insurance info, I did not have my insurance card but was able to pull up a letter with my member ID. The woman proceeds to say she cannot verify my identity because the address wasn’t on the letter. I have a SSN and my IA license to verify that, she was rude and condescending, I felt like I was racially profiled. I have insurance she just didn’t want to do what she is paid to do and she was rude. She told me I’d have to self pay or reschedule, when I have specifically taken this day off for this appt. Why are people with this type of attitude hired to work in healthcare, I don’t treat my patients like that at my place of employment. She needs to log on to her healthstream and review her customer service and cultural competence lessons. I can’t imagine how she’s treating other patients. Very unprofessional, rude and condescending.

I was so terrified of how much my appointments, bloodwork, and imaging would cost because I knew my insurance wouldnt cover parts of it. I was so pleasantly surprised by how reasonable my bills were even without insurance covering anything that I almost cried. I appreciate that the prices have been kept reasonable for people even without insurance or at least without good insurance. I am grateful for my doctor and all the staff. They have all been very kind and helpful on top of the very reasonable prices.

I transferred here from the morning side FHC because I moved to this area, but I am glad I did. Personalized care, don’t feel like a number. Great doctors, the nurses follow up after tests, great experience overall.

My visit today from start to finish was beyond incredible. The staff walking in greeted me with a smile. My nurse Susan was so nice and answered all my questions. She made me feel really comfortable when I got nervous. Dr. Brownlee was awesome! She came in with a positive attitude, ready to answer all my questions and concerns. The lab gal Heather B explained everything she was doing before taking my blood. I was very nervous and she made sure I was okay before leaving. Very impressed and happy to switch my care to this facility!!!

I loved dr. Brownlee but when I called with questions to do with my meds and joint pain the nurse was extremely rude and told me to google it then told me to exercise more if I don’t wanna be in pain I asked to talk to someone higher up to get my questions answered when talking with this person I was called emotional since I just had a baby and was told the lady who called me was stressed out and I should understand. I was really disappointed seeing as the doctor was so kind and understanding that the pain that I was experiencing was not normal for a person my age all in all I just wish they where more professional and kind
