This place is a complete disaster. Read their response. Already reached out to them to investigate and they never get back to you. They handout broken equipment. Then replace it with broken equipment, then replace that with a roll of masking tape. They also charge for a missed appointment when you refuse to take their broken devices. Sat in a waiting room for a half hour, staff was rude and dismissive. Getting an alert for missing an appointment as I wasted more of my day there was the cherry on top. Nobody at all cares there, just a get em in get em out and bang your insurance scam.
It took 3 months for an appointment, then about a month prior I was informed that the doctor was not going to be in the office. The next available appointment was almost 4 months, so I took it. When I arrived at my appointment, I was seen by the PA not a specialist!! Almost, 7 months later to be seen by the PA. She was very knowledgeable but seriously. When I was leaving, I was told that I would need to see the specialist. I asked how long, “ another 3 months?” It’s going to probably be 10 months from my first call to see the doctor. That seems a little excessive. It not like I’m not doing my part and taking vacation, it’s lack of availability in their schedule.
Receptionist is rude and doesn't care about patients. Called to get an appt for my husband and they can't get him in for 4 months, he needs to be seen in 2 weeks for DOT. He had an appt last month, which they cancelled on him, stating he did not confirm his appt. They don't care that his DOT card expires in 2 weeks, the receptionist gave me attitude when I was asking questions trying to find out why he couldn't get in sooner. I work for a doctor's office, I know there is always something that can be done to help the patient. And the attitude is not necessary. We have decided to take our business elsewhere, and UR Sleep Center got him in tomorrow. They get 5 stars.
After 5 months of waiting and missing a day of work, I arrived at the office to find they canceled my appointment because "the automated confirmation system said (I) canceled it." The receptionist then argued with me, saying over and over, "No, you canceled it!" She then tried to cover herself by offering another canceled appointment in two days, like I can just get out of work whenever I want. Imagine my surprise when the automated attendant called my house later in the day to confirm the new appointment that I said I didn't want and couldn't make. Don't kid yourself - these guys couldn't care less about patient care. It's all about the money.
8 years ago the results of my sleep test with Unity Sleep Disorder Center in Westfall Rd were highly questionable; I questioned the way the test was done and the way the results were interpreted and my GP even said he doubted them. The CPAP machine I foolishly agreed to buy had to be adjusted 3 times and I had to be fitted with a new mask, none of which helped as the machine not only did not help my sleep, but actually hindered it. Now, 8 years later, my cardiologist wanted me to be re-tested by the sleep center. I made the appointment at Unity Sleep Center, took my CPAP machine with me as directed, and awaited my consultation. I was greeted by a member of the staff, not a physician, who had my test results from 8 years ago with her. I was not offered a new test, only a recitation of the results of the test from 8 years ago, and an urging to buy a newer, more advanced machine. After my two experiences with the Unity Sleep Disorder Center, it is my opinion that they are simply in the business of selling CPAP machines. Using results from an 8 year old test with no consideration for what may have changed for the good in my life, better health etc., is inexcusable.
