I have fibromyalgia. I paid for a lyft to the error for chest pains and short of breath. I was triage and sent back in the waiting room in my wheelchair. I was in agony I take regular routine medicine to help symptoms. If any dr had any clue about fibromyalgia I would have been treated with dignity and comfort and most of all care for my life. I highly recommend fairview to others. I will no longer do so. Right now im in severe abdominal pain and terrified to go there for treatment. I also feel judged because I have a pain med prescription. I was not asking for pain meds .I was wanting to breathe . I arri ed at around 10:45 pm . I got a breathing treatment at around 7:30 am. And i missed my medication for my blood pressure..cholesterol..ibs. acid reflux. Anxiety and pain. Tell me what kind of nurses and doctors do that. The doctors at fairview

I have been going to this hospital for years because I live in West Park. It is good for birthing babies and dying. No doctor appointments, terrible ER, surgery staff nurses not smart, just overall badly managed. Now they have destroyed the area across the street to build a massive parking garage and staff offices where neighborhood houses used to be, and blocking the view over the valley. CCF pays no property taxes and never stops building more and more towers, burning through cash and jacking up prices. Now I just go here for labs, and sometimes those results are so impossible I have to go and get them done again, after I am questioned by my doctor why I wasn’t taken to the ER based on the labs. Ummm because it’s CCF Fairview and that lab result is a mistake…and sure enough the test 2 weeks later is normal.

I delivered at Fairview in January of 2024, and I truly had an amazing experience. My son’s cord had a knot in it, so every time I pushed his vitals dropped. The staff handled this incredibly well and reassured me whenever I was worried. The nurses held my hand during my epidural and talked me through every step. When the epidural didn’t work on one side of my body and the team initially told me to give it time, my nurses were my biggest advocates and pushed for it to be fixed. They were also my biggest cheerleaders during delivery. Since it was my doctor’s first delivery, I had two doctors in the room, and he did an absolutely wonderful job explaining everything that was happening and keeping me calm and informed. The delivery room was private and clean. After delivery, we moved to another room that was very large, spacious, quiet, and just as clean. The postpartum nurses encouraged me to take care of myself and shared helpful tips and tricks for pain management and making things more comfortable, including how to reduce burning when using the bathroom. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I’m extremely grateful I was able to deliver at Fairview.

The first few days as inpatient at Fairview were ok. The people were nice ,friendly and seem willing to help me. That changed all of sudden when I experienced severe shortness of breath and was unable to clear my airways. I push the emergency button every 10 minutes for over at least 30 minutes. When some one finally show she left me to tell the nurse. 10 minutes later I was finally able to get breathing treatment was done without regard to what I was experiencing. I wanted to speak to the Doctor on call he never came. I finally checked out AMA to go somewhere else 5 hours later . If you have to have family hospitalized there. Do not leave them alone.

Use to be an excellent hospital…..not anymore evidently….. nurses sit in other room and chat instead of taking care of patients……emergency room…..so I went to emergency around 9 am Tuesday sat there until 730pm put me in a room told me I have to have an oncologist come in to see what’s next sat in my room ALL DAY WENSDAY WAITING for a doctor to show up now its Thursday and I’m still waiting and the nurse told me they didn’t put the request in until Tuesday at 4pm so now they want to do an MRI…..when they should be doing a pet scan…….they didn’t even call my cancer doctor to get some information about me and my treatment so I’m giving them until 5 today which is Thursday and then I’m leaving……bunch of quacks in here…..was never like this before sad ….I’ll never come back again…….one more thing I put a Ginger ale in the refrigerator with my name on it and somebody took it so I’m walking down the hall there I see my ginger ale on a nurses cart. She lucky she wasn’t standing there.
