Banner sleep clinic referred me for CBTI after confirming that I don't have sleep apnea or low oxygen. I filled out a very long form and was put on a wait list. I was told it would be several months because they only have one doctor who can do that. Three months later, they called to see if I wanted to remain on the wait list. I said yes and asked if it would be another three months. The office said "probably." It has been over 6 months altogether and I still don't have an appointment. I asked if there was anyone else in Tucson who could do this (in or out of network) and was told no. Why refer someone for something you can't do?

Called two weeks ago and left a message then called last week and no answer again. No one ever called back at all. I just called today and they said the person that schedules is out today and they will call me back tomorrow. I'm starting to think I should look elsewhere to do my sleep study. My heart doctor won't do a 24 hr monitor until I've had a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea for my heart rate dropping everyday and me passing out in my chair during the day. It's been weeks since my doctor ordered it. How long do I have to wait?? Edit... Wow just read the other reviews and it seems this is an ongoing problem. People have been complaining about this for five years and you've done nothing to fix the problem. With so many people having sleep apnea I don't understand how this department could be like this. UPDATE it's been over a year , they finally called me back to tell me my referral is expired lmao so I asked my doctor to send another one. I got a text from the sleep study place saying they received my referral and I waited a few days to call them and then the weekend happened, I called and the girl tells me we just got your sleep study referral this morning and they need to go over it and we will call you back. So here we go again. I called today and left another message. My oxygen is now 73 at night so I'm sure all my organs are being damaged every night. Thanks banner , I'm slowly moving to tmc because I'm sick of this. My doctor also sent a neurology referral and my appointment is next year , literally next year , I have seizures and neuropathy so I guess they just don't care to hire doctors.

I waited ten long months for my appointment. It was very important, so I made sure I arrived early. I'd never been to this medical plaza before and had no idea it was so large. By the time I found tower four, I couldn't find an entrance to it and spent 30 minutes walking and driving around in hopes of finding a way inside. I frantically, repeatedly called the clinic hoping they could guide me, but of course, they never answer their phone. After realizing I was now 20 minutes late for my appointment, I gave up and went home. What a miserable experience. Had somebody just answered the phone, I would have made the appointment.

The service is the worst! Although the doctors are nice and professional, the way this hospital is managed is a total disaster! The billing is a mess! They always ask me to prepay procedures or tests, but the estimates are always higher than the actual cost after billed to my insurance. Then they owe me refunds but they can NEVER refund my money in a timely manner! I have called them many times in the past two months, and they always said they would give me a refund in a week but they haven’t. After two months the refunds still haven’t being issued! So I ended up reporting those transactions to my credit card company because I overpaid. My credit card company gave me the refunds, and then Banner sent me another bill for the refunds that the credit card company issued me!! So I overpaid my hospital visits and I cannot get refunds from this hospital after calling them a few times in a time span of two months! And I just cannot get my money back!!! The billing system of this hospital is more like a fraud and scam system!!!!!! All the other reviews were complaining about the same issue I went through. My experience with the Sleep Medicine clinic was terrible! I had an appointment with Dr. Estep on Feb 2. She said her assistant would contact me to schedule an at-home sleep study. But after waiting for two weeks, I still didn't hear from her office. On Feb 16, I called them about scheduling the sleep study. No one answered the phone so I left a message. The front desk lady called me back soon saying that the person who schedules sleep study was out that day. She said that person would be in office on Monday Feb 19 and they would give me a call back on Monday. However, I didn't receive a call back. On Feb 22, I called the office again and left a message. Till this day (Mar 1), I still haven't heard from the office. It is so annoying that my doctor wanted me to do this test but I cannot even be scheduled for it because of the unresponsiveness (laziness) of the person who schedules the sleep study! I have been feeling very frustrated and very unsatisfied with them!

The drs and staff are wonderful! They’re polite, professional, and get everything on their end to set you up with your clinical in a timely manner. They even offer drop off with the sleep equipment you take home! I’d recommend them anytime to patients who have sleep issues or illnesses needing taken care of by professionals.
