Rude staff and extremely slow service.
I was admitted to the ER with severe stomach pain and vomiting.. after being there for 6 hours they found nothing wrong.. I proceeded to profusely vomit for the next three days.. This evening I went up the road to a better hospital.. I was in intense pain and wasn’t treated like a junkie “which promedica has a habit of doing” They gave me morphine in my IV and actually listened to what I had to say, turns out I was severely constipated.. while Promedica said there was nothing wrong with me.. if you can please go to any other hospital other than Promedica.. They are negligent in their care and I don’t understand how they are still a open and functioning hospital..
Wonderful Labor and Delivery nurses
Nurse JOHN, on the ER floor, refused to make time for me when I asked about an update on my husband's possible sepsis stay in the E.R. First thing he did was laugh at me and say "yeah he's being treated here but I can't give information over the phone". I'm his wife, and a Nurse myself. He said he was too busy to talk to me and refused to ask my husband's permission to relay info over the phone when I stated I'm also a nurse, which he laughed at, when he cited HIPAA as the reason he couldn't give me an update (while my husband was awake texting me from the room). It had been 2 hours and he had not yet received antibiotics, which Toledo Hospital had prescribed him the day before for ulcerative colitis but he had thrown up repeatedly, Q 20 mins. Nurse JOHN on ER floor, fix your damn compassion fatigue before you hurt someone. And take some CE classes on HIPAA. Someday someone won't have time for you, nurse John. He was just as important as other critical patients. Shame on you Promedica Monroe. Don't waste your time here, you will be ignored and belittled by nurses who do their job for dollars, not compassion. Promedica Toledo is better equipped, with more competent nurses.
I’m here now with my significant other for a 5 hrs blood work. He has hip impingement and it’s very painful for him to sit on a regular chair for more than 10 minutes. This is going to be a terrible experience for the next 5 hours. It would be nice to have a room or at least a recliner. Perhaps this hospital can have a better sense for people’s disabilities.
