I have had my CPAP since April 2025. It has been a lifesaver. It is important to understand that to properly address your sleeping disorder using a CPAP, you have to want to succeed. I had to find the right mask, hose support system, and work with my provider to attain the correct pressure and flow rates. I don’t even think about it when I sleep now. My oxygen saturation doesn’t go below 88% now, my pulse rate remains steady and I wake up feeling refreshed without brain fog or needing a cup of coffee to get going in the morning. I think this helps to prevent heart arrhythmia (which I was treated for) because the sleep study revealed high rates of heart beats occurred when my blood oxogen levels dipped as low into the low 60’s% briefly. It can help. Anything new takes some time so if you work with providers like Pinnacle, you can improve your quality of your life and in my case extend it rather than going through life untreated.
My experience at Pinnacle Sleep & Wake Disorders Center was absolutely terrible from start to finish. I went in for an overnight sleep study and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The room was decent and somewhat clean, but the bed was awful. The mattress was old, worn out, uncomfortable, and honestly looked dirty. But the worst part was the staff. While I was hooked up to all the machines trying to fall asleep, the staff outside were yelling, laughing loudly, and even playing music. It sounded like they were having a party. Completely unprofessional and totally unacceptable for a medical facility, especially one conducting sleep studies. Before I left, I filled out a written complaint explaining everything that happened. It felt like they brushed it off and nothing was done. When I received my CPAP machine, I tried using it for three days but had trouble breathing, so I stopped. I called to let them know the treatment wouldn’t work for me and told them I’d be dropping the equipment off. Instead, they made me schedule another appointment, pay extra for a consultation, and tried to pressure me into keeping the machine. I declined. After returning the equipment, they still charged me over $500 for something I couldn’t even use. This place is a joke. I highly recommend going anywhere else. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and money.
I've been seeing Dr Nand for the last 4 years since I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. He has always been very honest and straightforward about how weight loss can affect apnea. Over the last couple of years I've lost a significant amount of weight and at my last appointment, Dr Nand suggested that I have another sleep study. We just went over the results on Thursday and I no longer need the CPAP machine!! The other good news is that I had my annual physical last week as well and all of my blood tests came in within the normal ranges. Thank you Dr Nand!
I was admitted to the hospital a year ago for hypertension ,it was very serious and I've been using a bpap for a year and I'm losing weight and I feel so much better. I'm 41 and feel like I'm starting to get my life back. The staff has been amazing at pinnacle.
I have been using my C-pap machine since 2018 and I cannot imagine not wearing it. I feel rested most days. I enjoy my check ups to see Dr Nand, he gives good health advice. Definitely recommend it as I was waking up choking and couldn't catch my breath. I rarely have had an episode such as that in years.
