Poor service 2nd floor desk- for check in older lady did not check me in for a second appointment for the same Dr. waiting in the waiting area for over hour. Seeing patients come in and out that came in after me. Witnessing patients come late and being told they are late and still being provided service. I get up for the third time to complain regarding the long wait. They placed me in a no call no show and cancelled my appointment due to the receptionist. Mind you I was clocked in for my appointment 10 min prior to the infusion. Yet they saw me after canceling. I now sit in the infusion area my whole entire session there’s a lady on her phone speaking loudly not one nurse told her to get off the phone. 2 nd appointment I arrive 12 minutes after our grace of 15 min due to an accident. Now I’m met with a long long line to check in and only 2 receptionist. I reach the receptionist desk at 9:29 and she calls the back infusion area and they placed me on a no show. Ofcourse conveniently I have the right to state I’m late. No courtesy provided etc even with my previous experience with them. I am looking to get a referral out of this location. I have family members who work for this company. This is a disappointing yet expected when you are a person of color. That white lady was just as late if not later then my appointment for 9 am and was given all grace. Got it! I’ll take my insurance else where and make sure this review is available to do what it’s suppose to do.
Orthopedic department at 3030 Westchester Avenue, is horrible, they take no pride in privacy. All the nurses come out in the waiting area and ask patients questions where everyone can ear, when I asked to speak privately the woman got an attitude, I have never been treated so rudely. We have hippa laws in place for a reason. I heard another patient say the same thing. I love westmed but this area needs work
I waited nearly three months to see Dr. Ali. The appointment reminder listed 3030 Westchester Ave, which is incorrect on Google Maps if you type the address (see screenshot!). I ended up at the wrong location which is also a medical building and only realized after 10 minutes that it wasn't the right place. I called the office, drove to the correct location, and arrived 16 minutes late to my appointment. Despite the circumstances being caused by a known address error by the staff, they were very unpleasant with a lot of attitude, and they made me wait 15 min to be told that the doctor would not see me at all today and that I would need to reschedule to a different time which would be another month and a half away. This was extremely frustrating, especially since I had completed blood work days earlier, arranged childcare, and spent extra time hitting traffic since i don't live close-by. If the office is aware of this address issue, it’s unacceptable that nothing has been done to correct it and give proper instructions to get to the location. I write this review in hope that Summit Health addresses this to avoid wasting other patients’ time.
Dr Sanjay Upadhyay. I made an appt for annual physical as a new patient in April. It is now August and my appointment is tomorrow and they have the gall to call me today to cancel my appointment because the doctor isn’t taking new patients. Mind you it still says online that he is! When asked, I was told that the policy changed recently and that there were no exceptions. And she couldn’t even refer me to another MD! Steer clear.
The Worst! The blonde haired woman at computer screen at Summit(Westmed)on the second floor feels as is she’s the Summit Police! Wouldn’t let let my spouse check in early for her blood work on chemo day! It’s our choice if we decide to wait. Group has gone way downhill. Doctors are leaving, can’t get appointments. So done. !
