The lab at this location is seriously short staffed causing constant delays for patients. Wait time runs anywhere from 30-60 minutes on any given day. The only way to avoid is to book the first appointment of the day which is near impossible!
Absolutely awful, and make no mistake- they only care about your money. I made the mistake of booking telehealth therapy with them, and they lied about how much it would cost. They charged me almost $6 per MINUTE for a useless virtual therapy session, and I ended up having to stop sessions due to the surprise bills they were sending me. They refused to admit their own mistake of not providing a good faith estimate prior, which is unlawful. Also, in the end, I received no treatment at all, no offers to remedy the situation, and was only left with bills totaling over $400 for only one session. Stay far away and save yourself the headache.
I made an appointment 6 months ago to have blood work done at the lab in Rye. I got several reminders about the appointment including a message that my appointment was in 2 hours. I got there about 10 minutes early only to be told there was a 2hr. Wait!!! That’s ridiculous that they expect someone to wait 2 hours for a simple blood test. Their excuse was that they are “changing their system”and again, poor excuse. If things were running that far behind, a text message or email should have been sent, explaining to come 2 hours later or reschedule. There is no consideration for their patients.
The Rye office has horrible customer service. They forced me to reschedule an annual physical and blood work after being "over 10 minutes late" to my appointment while I arrived on time and they checked me in late. There were no other patients being assisted in front of me, I was told to take a seat and wait to be checked in. The White Plains office is much more organized and understanding, would strongly discourage going to the Rye office if you have the option!
Westmed seems to be a great facility. Westmed offices have all types of Doctors which makes providing each specialist with your records very simple. There billing sysmtem works well and most offices don't worry about payment until they get a notification from your insurance of what your responsible is.
