My recent experience at Englewood Health with their newest neurologist Dr. Justin Marcus was deeply disappointing and distressing. I came to Englewood’s ER in severe pain, concerned about a possible complication after a medical procedure that I got with another doctor. When Dr. Marcus came in, I expected compassion and professionalism. Instead, I was met with condescension and complete dismissal. He said the condition I was describing didn’t exist. He also interrupted me repeatedly while I tried to explain my symptoms, made an extremely inappropriate comment about my health choices, and showed no empathy while I was visibly crying and scared. His comments were “good, you’ll get lung cancer” when I said I can’t even smoke marijuana anymore for pain management due to the head pressure he also said “I don’t know if you’ll die either” when I was hysterically crying, scared I was going to die. (I’m not, I was just nervous). I have a VERY complex medical history and none of my doctors have ever complained about me using marijuana (that is legal in NJ/NY) to keep my pain at ease. Rather than helping me feel heard or cared for, his attitude made an already frightening situation worse. I left the hospital feeling dismissed and humiliated..not treated like a patient in need, but like an inconvenience. After following up with my neurologist, my concerns were confirmed and treatment was started for the condition I had been trying to explain to Dr Justin Marcus and the ER doctor. I truly hope Englewood Health takes patient experiences like this seriously, because no one should ever be made to feel so small and unheard in a hospital setting.
I’m honestly appalled about how this office is with patient care. I’ve seen the most incompetent staff working in the front end. I’m not sure even who the manager is here. There are several issues and it’s being addressed. Communication is terrible between patient and office. This is very noticeable not just with my family member but with many other patients that come here. You have elderly to young patients that see a neurologist in this office seeking care for their own various needs please have some empathy, compassion and consideration. I honestly feel bad for those that can’t find other providers to see. Whether the doctors/NPs are good or bad or experienced or inexperienced the way the staff is running the front end affects their reputation as well. Please think about how your management team is doing in this office because they are not good and clearly aren’t managing things right. They make so many mistakes, miscommunication and various other things that I’m sure have been addressed. The doctors do not see how the front staff always puts everything on the patient and makes the patient do the work when clearly they aren’t doing their job correctly. Englewood health system please do better!
I was seen by Dr Jamuna Rajasingham on 5/23/25, (1.5) wks POST SERIOUS FALL/CONCUSSION. During the visit Dr.Jamuna showed ZERO EMPATHY/PROFESSIONAL BEDSIDE MANNER. She did not evaluate my CONFIRMED CONCUSSION (nausea, confusion, migraines) from Holy Name Hospital nor my CAPTAIN OBVIOUS FACIAL INJURIES. Instead, she mockingly stated “you didn’t even break your nose” among other idiocies, triggering my Severe PTSD! Interestingly, I started treating w/Dr Jamuna Rajasingham, for my MIGRAINES from a previous SEVERE TBI that I suffered 10 years ago, wherein I was AIRLIFTED to the hospital! Dr Jamuna Rajasingham, had the audacity to refer to my TRAUMATIC EVENT as an “old, insignificant injury”! When I called to file a complaint w/the “office manager” she too lacked professional courtesy, while failing to follow up w/me as discussed! The ENTIRE staff lacks serious customer service, phone, medical, human basic SKILLS! In conclusion, it’s a shame Dr Jamuna Rajasingham is affiliated with Englewood Hospital - Thank You.
If i could give 0 stars i 100% would. This has been the worst doctors office i’ve ever had to deal with. They completely disregarded me as a patient when i’m dealing with something as severe as nerve damage. Dr. Danziger gave me a diagnosis I knew wasn’t true so I sought care somewhere else. It’s understandable if you DON’T know what’s causing something but to say it’s anxiety is utterly appalling. Their staff is extremely incompetent and forget about EVER needing records faxed or your phone call answered. I have left voice mail after voicemail for 2 months straight trying to get my records faxed, and the only time they did answer they claimed they’d send them over immediately but yet my providers never received anything. I’m truly disgusted by how this practice is run and how i was consistently dismissed. It took going in person for them to finally help me out, mind you it’s a bit far of a commute for me, and even then THEY DIDN’T DO ANYTHING I ASKED CORRECTLY! A neurologist shouldn’t have such terrible service, i’m appalled i experienced something like this especially with someone affiliated with Englewood Health.
Dr Levy and all the staff there are simply the best. I have been a patient there close to 15 years. Every single staff has gone above and beyond for my medical needs. I moved down to ocean county few years back and would never change neurologists! Worth the drive.
