We had a very positive experience. Tameka was amazing with our daughter and made her feel at ease. Yes, the sleeping arrangement for the parent was less than comfortable but we sort of expected that. It would be nice if they had the sleeper couches like they do in L&D wards. I highly recommend Googling "sleep study CHOP" well in advance to feel prepared. The center did call us the morning of the study to see if we had any questions, but I feel like that doesn't give you very much prep time.

Technician was excellent, we felt well-prepared for the study. She was also very patient and welcoming to my son. Not 5 stars because of the facility. The rooms are not conducive to sleep—there was a reclining chair/“futon” for the adult, but it was not nearly long enough, and less comfortable than an airplane seat. Also it’s an abrupt “wake up and head out” so early (5:15) in the morning—especially after the difficulty of falling asleep in a new space to begin with.

I don’t like to write bad reviews, but I can’t really pass on this one since it involves child care. The place was dirty to begin with, the designated staff was very chatty and wasn’t paying attention to the details. The entire thing was uncomfortable which was somehow expected, but the nurse was not sympathetic, didn’t care to come and help when needed instead was shouting on the microphone from her room to order me to do things differently. While the place is supposed to be quiet to allow children to sleep, the nurses were very loud, laughing and chatting for very long time in their room which was right next to ours. And again when I needed help instead of coming to the room and helping she used the microphone which scared my child instead of allowing him to have a good night sleep. At some point my child elevated the head of the bed, which I didn’t know he did and we were not told not do it, so when I insisted to the nurse to come and detangle my child from the wires, she came and started yelling that we were not supposed to elevate it…. The bed sheet which was given to me had two big pee spots, the toilet seat had pee stains on, and we were the patients who just arrived to the facility for the day, which means it was never cleaned. The list is longer than this…. it’s been more than a month yet we are still waiting for the results. I am not sure if the results are viable anyway as our child didn’t sleep more than three hours.
