DO NOT use this facility. Itis the most unprofessional organization I have ever experienced. Although Dr. Loftas is excwllent and very thorough, the office staff is ABSOLUTELY UNORGANIZED. Test results are constantly lost or sit in a pile to NEVER be completed unless you constant call -to hear that the mailbox is full or to find that you are able to get through. The office staff is TERRIBLE. Again, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
I have had two sleep studies done at this facility. Everyone was very nice and the facility was very clean. But they screwed up both studies and now I have to have another done. It’s been six months since the first study. The wheels of healthcare are slow to stay to say the least. Needless to say I am not going back to Atlanticare again. It is not easy for me to plan a “night out”. I take care of my Mother who is 96 years old so I need to make arrangements for a caregiver in addition to everything else. Then I think of the unnecessary expense to Medicare. Oh well I hope the next person has better luck than me.
This place is the worst. My Dad had a sleep study done on 12/5/24. He was billed for a second sleep study on 12/15/24. He was not there on 12/15. Calls to Atlanticare billing went nowhere. They opened a case & closed it without any explanation. I called the actual sleep lab and spoke to a manager by the name of Keriann. She asked me to email her a copy of the bill. I did, she said she'd get the charge reversed, and I never heard back from her. Months went by and I called the sleep lab again. She wouldn't get on the phone but emailed me & said she was still looking into it. This was in June. Its now December. I never heard from her again. I ended up paying my dad's $50 copay twice because I didn't want the bill to go to a collection agency. He is a senior citizen on a fixed income & $50 is a lot to him right now. This is disgraceful, and I would not recommend this sleep lab to anyone. One other thing. I was told to pick my dad up at 6:30 the morning after his sleep study. The door was locked when I got there. I rang the bell over and over and stood out in the freezing cold for 15-20 minutes before the tech came & let me in. He rudely told me he didn't hear me. He knew I was coming at 6:30, he told me to come at that time, and my dad was the only one there so it's not like he was busy.
Very professional and understanding I had a few late due to a dog being sick. They took their time and explained everything to me and asked if I needed anything. Told me that they were going to hook up wires to my head, chest, leg and forehead. Informed me that light will be out at 11 PM so I went outside and had a cigarette and came in and they hooked me up. They made sure I was comfortable the worst part was I had to sleep on my back, I would wake up to get into a comfortable position.again and back to sleep I went! When they woke me up in the morning I was surprised that it was over!
Everyone there was so kind and very helpful. I had to cancel my appointment 3 times because of health issues,but finally now I can sleep a full night. I wake up completely rested in the mornings now with so much energy! Thank you for helping me get the correct CPAP unit!
